N PROGRESS—

ON THIS PAGE WE TAKE A LOOK AT THEIR WIKIPEDIA PAGE OF LIES.

WIKIPEDIA THE SEAT OF THE ACID JAZZ DECEPTION.

(The Satanic petition of Gilles Peterson, Eddie Pillar and Acid Jazz records)

The goal of Eddie Pillar, Gilles Peterson and Acid Jazz records is to re-write Black music history. And this page is what they want written into history. The idea that they created and are responsible for all the sound of 20th Century SOUL/R&B. When they have created nothing. Eddie Pillars fraudulent marketing of FUNK as a non existent music genre called acid jazz coupled with this page of total BS which they are cloning on every website they can find, is what they hope will eventually give them what they want. The frequencies of FUNK. That and the fact that they claim Jamirqoquai’sย  stolen, plagiarized Rare Groove and 70’s/80’s FUNK is also the creation of serpents. So Jay Kay claims credit for the sounds of Stevie Wonder and Eddie Pillar/Gilles Peterson claim credit for creating Jazz Funk and Soul. This is how they have stolen down the centuries but with music it isn’t so easy as THE SOULHEAD TALES and Ten Easy ways To Debunk The Acid jazz Lie proves.

ย In the serpent tradition of using foreigners against people of your own nation Eddie Pillar and Gilles Peterson enlist foreigners to help rewrite the history of Black Britain. To delete the truth and to wipe Black British SOUL from the history books. Meet Michael Binks knowles and the two anonymous Wikipedia editors who are in charge of a music page about BLACK LONDON!

Michael Binks Knowlesย  refused to respond to questions and was willfully assisting the Jamiroquai acid jazz cabal in keeping up their Fake News Wikipedia page which I debunk in this blog. Acid jazz records are ignoring warnings from real Wikipedia editors with the assistance of their gatekeeper. These people are desperate to cling onto SOUL music and rewrite the history of Black Britain.ย ย

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is eddie-pillares-gartkeeper.jpg

Micheal Bink Knowles The American Californian who claims that people from Essex aren’t qualified to speak on Black Music in 1980’s London because he doesn’t know where Essex is and has never heard of Canvey Island or Caister. These are the type of people assisting Acid Jazz records re-write the history of Black Britain and of Black music in general.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is canvey-island.jpg

Who are you going to trust on the topic of Black London? A Black Londoner or Michael Binks Knowles a Californian who claims that acid jazz is a Black music genre but can’t tell anyone what it is. He has also set up the sound system at Bohemian grove where SATANISTS commune every year. So yeah, he’s the right man to speak for Black London. What are you going to trust when it comes to the history of Black Music in Black Britain of the 1980’s?

GOLDMINE

Blues and Soul, Black Echoes, Ebony Jet and all the Black music publications of the era? or the rubbish Eddie Pillar and Gilles Peterson have written on Wikipedia. They claim Acid Jazz is a music genre but they can’t name a single track which belongs to this genre. Neither can they show any reference to this fake genre being invented in the mid 1980’s. No club reportย  album review, chart or anything else. On Wikipedia they keep claiming Jamiroquai play at least some of this fake genre but they can’t tell you which track contains Acid Jazz in THE SOULHEAD TALES. As you will see I have categorized all of the so called Jamiroquai tracks into their correct styles of FUNK, Electro, Bossa, and so on and I can’t hear any Black music genre invented here in London by Gilles Peterson or anyone else. I have never heard of this genre. All I can hear is retreads of 1970’s/1980’s FUNK.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 80ssoulmagazines.jpg

There is no such thing as a Black Music genre called Acid Jazz. The only people who claim there is such genre are Eddie Pillar, Gilles Peterson and their International cabal of Dis-info Agents. The people involved know this full well but in order to make their lies stick and to steal the legacy of Black American Soul they need back story to explain the existence of this Fake genre. They need to create a feasible myth to fool future generations into believing that all this Black American Soul owes it’s existence to a record label that has nothing whatsoever to do with any Black sound whatsoever. Save for the fact they are making money out of it.

Welcome to the new world order, where the history of Black Britain, And Black American soul is censored by a Californian who sets up music at clubs….and places where degenerate satanists worship a dark energy being who feeds off of the energy of burning children. Well these satanic types always stick together. Michael Binks Knowles the American assisting Eddie Pillar re-write Black music history has worked at Bohemian grove as shown in The famous documentary by SHILL Alex Jones. Yup.

When asked Are you sure you’re also not in some way connected to Acid Jazz records, Michael Bink Knowles Refused to respond!

acid jazz liars

Wikipedia many people already know is long infiltrated by the New world order to control the narrative. As the co-founder of Wikipedia said; People whom I would call trolls infiltrated and then took over. They actually use troll farms to guard pages especially when it comes to Politics. If you know how the New world order works then you willย  know what it means when you see someone on Wikipedia with 250000 edits. (remember the Phillip Cross affair with George Galloway) Michael “Bink” Knowles, A Californian who doesn’t seem to know where Essex is but thinks he has the authority to re-write the history of Black Britain. So welcome to the New world order where aย  foreigner can rewrite the history of your race and your hometown. You can read a bit more about Eddie Pillars Gatekeeper by clicking below.

Ten Easy Ways To Debunk The Acid Jazz Lie-The Cultural Appropriation of FUNK

acid jazz is cultural appropriation

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is eddie-pillar-cultural-appropriation.jpg

EDDIE PILLAR AND ACID JAZZ RECORDS ARE HOLDING THE HISTORY 20th CENTURY SOUL AND BLACK MUSIC HOSTAGE ON WIKIPEDIA

They are deleting comments and profiles, banning I.P Addresses.

On Wikipedia they (The jamiroquai acid jazz cabal) make the claim “acid jazz” is a black music genre invented here in London in 1988 by Gilles Peterson. They are also as I have said trying to write Black British SOUL out of the History books and replace them with 1990’s music thieves and plagiarists Jamiroquai who the claim play this so called “acid jazz” genre “invented by London pub DJ Gilles Peterson. Wikipedia is their center of operations. Here is where the jamiroquai acid jazz lie machine is holdingย  FUNK hostage and re-writing the history of Blackย  music. Forย  their cultural appropriation exercise to have any chance of succeeding Eddie Pillar and the Jamiroquai acid jazz cabal have to have that page in place.

This is why they are so desperate to keep it up.ย  So If you wish understand the agenda of acid jazz records then see the lies they have written on Wikipedia. Everipedia, and just about every website dealing with Black music. Elsewhere The Jamiroquai /acid jazz cabal are saturating the web withย  their disinformation, systematically and fraudulently re-writing the history of Black British and Black American SOUL/R&B, by cloning their fake news Wikipedia page every where they can. These people are determined. They Delete Comments And Even Profiles OF People Who Complain. Then continueย  as if nothing has happened. The same tactic used on political pages. Anything that does not suit the serpent agenda is deleted. Acid Jazz is a serpent record label.

They have locked down their Wikipedia page and IGNORING protests BLOCKING I.P addresses…The Eddie Pillar Cultural appropriation crew continues to ignore warnings from Wikipedia…THERE’S A SURPRISE!

It’s now a year since Wikipedia warned the Jamiroquai acid jazz cabal over the lies on their Fake news Wikipedia page which credits Gilles Peterson with inventing Jazz Funk, but like all infiltrator organizations the jamiroquai/ acid jazz cabal are ignoring the truth, ignoring protests and carrying on regardless. They have been warned numerous times in the past by real editors until Pillar brought in a gatekeeper. A fake “Editor” called Michael Bink Knowles. A Californian who is re-writing the history of Black music and of Black Britain. Wikipedia is fully infiltrated as you will read about on Wikipediocracy.

acidjazz-is-a-lie-wikipedia2

Two years after their Wikipedia warning, Cultural Thieves Eddie Pillar and Gilles Peterson/the acid jazz cabal CONTINUEย  to try and write BLACK BRITAIN and Black British Soul out of history and replace them with 100% plagiarists Jamiroquai whose plagiarized FUNK they are STILL claiming is called acid jazz. Just like all SERPENT organizations Eddie Pillar and his mob ignore the rules and carry on regardless.

CULTURAL THIEVES PILLAR PETERSON AND THEIR CROWD KNOW THAT THE INFORMATION ON THEIR WIKIPEDIA PAGE IS FALSE SO THEY HAVE AN ARMY OF TOLLS ON WIKIPEDIA JUST LIKE THEY HAVE AN ARMY OF TROLLS ON YOU TUBE AND ELSEWHERE, READY TO DELETE COMMENTS, DELETE THE TRUTH

And here we have someone who calls themselves DENISARONA another anonymous fake Wikipedia editor working for acid jazz records deleting the truth and protecting Eddie Pillars fake news acid jazz page which re-writes of Black British history. Who is this person in real life? well we don’t know although I’m sure as British M.P George Galloway and others have proven they can be traced by the authorities. So this anonymous person saw fit to delete the truth from the acid jazz talk page and then BLOCK any response. See websites like Wikipediocracy for how these people operate .

I decided to do another test and as I expected the comment was immediately deleted.ย  This time by another anonymous serpent called Denisova. Like all these serpent institutions and companies they have loads of people watching the page so they can all jump in and delete information quickly. Like all N.W.O Wikipedia editors they are fake. Below is the message I wrote….

DELETED IN SECONDS BY EDDIE PILLARS GATEKEEPERS

ย

WARNING ACID -JAZZ -RECORDS- SHILLS-HAVE -TAKEN -OVER -THIS -PAGE.

DO NOT DARE DELETE THIS COMMENT AS YOU HAVE TRIED TO DO IN THE PAST. IF YOU DO I WILL POST IS AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND TRYING TO BLOCK THE I.P WILL NOT WORK AGAIN EITHER. YOU ARE WORKING FOR EDDIE PILLAR AND GILLES PETERSON OF ACID JAZZ RECORDS.`

These people have ignored warnings from real Wikipedia editors and are carrying on regardless even though they know everything written here is false as Blues and soul magazine and the British equivalent Black Echoes magazines of the 1980’s will confirm.

BLUES AND SOUL MAKES NO MENTION OF THIS NON EXISTENT GENRE.JUST BECAUSE A RECORD COMPANY PRINTS THE WORDS ACID JAZZ ON ALBUM COVERS DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY HAVE INVENTED A STYLE OF BLACK MUSIC. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A BLACK MUSIC GENRE CALLED ACID JAZZ. That is why they have failed to mention a single acid jazz track. Plagiarists jamiroquai play rare groove NOT a back music genre invented by a record company here in London created in 1988. that is total and utter rubbish. EVERYTHING ON JAMIROQUAI TRACKS IS STOLEN..Google Jamiroquai’s plagiarism.

IF THIS SO CALLED ACID JAZZ GENRE YOU LYING AMERICANS CLAIM IS A MUSIC GENRE THAT CAME OUT OF THIS CITY (LONDON ENGLAND) IT DID NOT, THEN WHY IS THERE NO MENTION OF IT IN BLUES AND SOULS AND WHY HAVE YOU NOT MENTIONED A SINGLE SONG THAT BELONGS TO THIS FAKE GENRE? HOW IS THE STOLEN FUNK OF STEVIE WONDER, ROY AYERS EARTH WIND AND FIRE ECT THE INVENTION OF A LON DON RECORD LABEL……..ANSWER THE BLOODY QUESTION…. LIFE OF TAU AND WHY ARE YOU ANONYMOUS? SHOW YOURSELF! YOU ARE RE-WRITING THE HISTORY OF BLACK LONDON SITTING IN AMERICA…WHO ARE YOU? DON’T YOU THINK BLACK BRITAIN HAS A RIGHT TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE?

SHOULD I NAME YOU HERE?

REGARDLESS OF WHAT THESE AMERICANS HAVE WRITTEN. BLUES AND SOUL MAGAZINE WILL SHOW THEM UP FOR THE LIARS THAT THEY ARE. THERE IS NOT AND WAS NEVER A MUSIC GENRE CALLED ACID JAZZ IN THIS CITY OF LONDON ENGLAND! AT NO TIME AND AT NO STAGE DURING THE 1980’S DID ANY DJ INVENT A BLACK MUSIC GENRE CALLED ACID JAZZ. AT NO TIME WAS THERE ANYTHING CALLED ACID JAZZ HERE IN LONDON ENGLAND IN THE 80’s WHICH IS WHY YOU WILL FIND NO “ACID JAZZ” CHARTS, CLUB REPORTS OR “BANDS DEFINED AS ACID JAZZ” AS THEY FRAUDULENTLY WRITE HERE. THESE PEOPLE KNOW THIS THAT WHY THEY TRIED TO DELETE COMMENTS ON THIS PAGE AND OR BLOCK I.P ADDRESSES. THIS IS GOING ON ALL THE TIME AS WIKIPEDIA IS TOTALLY TAKEN OVER AS WEBSITE WIKIPEDIOCRACY ,GEORGE GALLOWAY U.K MP AND EVEN DAVID ICKE HAVE TESTIFIED. ANYTHING THAT DOES NOT SUIT THE SERPENT AGENDA IS DELETED AND ACID JAZZ IS A SERPENT RECORD LABEL

Attempting to culturally appropriate soul through their usual deception. This page IS their deception as well as their false labelling of SOUL as acid jazz.

THE UNCHALLENGABLE SOURCE OF INFORMATION REGARDING BLACK MUSIC IS BLUES AND SOUL MAGAZINE. AND NEITHER BLUES AND SOUL NOR ANY OF THE OTHER BLACK MUSIC PUBLICATION OF THE ERA SUCH AS BLACK ECHOES, JET MAGAZINE, EBONY ECT MAKE ANY MENTION OF A BLACK MUSIC GENRE INVENTED IN THIS CITY AT ANY TIME CALLED ACID JAZZ. YOU WILL FIND ALL THE SOUL CHARTS AND CLUB REPORTS ION BLUES AND SOUL MAGAZINE AND YOU WON’T FIND ANYTHING TO BACK UP THE LIES WRITTEN BY THESE AMERICANS.

THE FIRST EVER MENTION OF THE WORD “ACID JAZZ” IS IN BLUES AND SOUL [ISSUE 511] WHICH STATES THAT A DJ CALLED GILLES PETERSON HAS CREATED A NEW RECORD LABEL CALLED ACID JAZZ. THIS IS IN 1988. SO THAT IN ITSELF COMPLETELY DESTROYS THE FAKE RE-WRITING OF BLACK MUSIC HISTORY THESE PEOPLE ARE ATTEMPTING. WE DID NOT HAVE ANY MUSIC GENRE CALLED ACID JAZZ HERE IN LONDON. SOUL TO SOUL AND LOOSE ENDS, FIVE STAR, BILLY OCEAN, SADE, OMAR LYE FOOK, SAHARA AND BANDS THAT THESE THESE AMERICANS ARE TRYING TO WIPE FROM HISTORY ARE THE ORIGIN OF ANY 1990’S BRITISH SOUND. NOT A RECORD COMPANY CREATED IN 1988. THEY CLAIM ACID JAZZ SPREAD TO AMERICA TOTAL BS….ALL THEY HAVE DONE IS REPLACED THE WORDS RARE GROOVE WHICH IS 1970’S FUNK WITH THE WORDS ACID JAZZ AND THEN CLAIMED THAT IT’S A BLACK MUSIC GENRE CREATED HERE IN LONDON ENGLAND. I HAD NEVER EVEN HEAR THE WORD ACID JAZZ UNTIL ABOUT 1999 BUT I AM AN AUTHENTIC LONDONER UNLIKE THE AMERICANS WHO HAVE TAKEN OVER THIS PAGE AND ARE REWRITING BLACK MUSIC HISTORY.

EVERYTHING YOU HAVE WRITTEN ON THIS PAGE IS A COMPLETE PILE OF BULLSHIT AND DON’T GIVE ME THAT WIKIPEDIA “OH YOU MUST BE POLITE” FUCK YOU! YOU ARE A SHILL OR ONE OF EDDIE PILLARS LOT. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO REWRITE BLACK MUSIC HISTORY AND YOU MOST CERTAINLY HAVE NO RIGHT TO WIPE PEOPLE LIKE SOUL TO SOUL, LOOSE ENDS AND ALL THE OTHER BLACK BRITISH BANDS FROM THE HISTORY BOOKS AND PEDAL THIS COMPLETELY FALSE INFORMATION ACROSS THE GLOBE. INFORMATION THAT YOU KNOW DAMN WELL IS FALSE. WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE. AND WHY ARE YOU ANONYMOUS LIFE OF TAU……? WHO ARE YOU SHOW YOURSELF COME ON!

AT NO TIME AND AT NO STAGE DID ANY OF US CALL FUNK ACID JAZZ. THERE WERE NO ACID JAZZ MOVEMENTS IN LONDON BECAUSE NOBODY HAD EVEN HEARD OF THEIR NAME UNTIL THE MID 1990’S. AND IF YOU CLAIM THAT ACID JAZZ IS A MUSIC GENRE NAME ONE ACID JAZZ SONG! YOU CAN’T BECAUSE IT’S JUST SOUL. AND IF YOU CLAIM THAT IT IS A SUB GENRE GIVE ME THE NAME OF ANY RECORD WHICH BELONGS TO THIS SUB GENRE CALLED ACID JAZZ?,,,,, NAME ON SINGLE “ACID JAZZ” TRACK THAT YOU CLAIM IS A BLACK MUSIC GENRE INVENTED BY GILES

PETERSON? YOU CAN’T BECAUSE ACID JAZZ DOESN’T EXIST. IT IS JUST YOU ASSISTING EDDIE PILLAR AND GILLES PETERSON TO CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE SOUL MUSIC.I AM A LONDONER, THE PEOPLE WRITING THIS BULLSHIT ARE AMERICANS WORKING FOR ACID JAZZ RECORDS WITH A VIEW TO REWRITING BLACK MUSIC HISTORY AND THE HISTORY OF BLACK BRITAIN. THERE ARE ALSO BRITS HERE AND SOME OF THEM ARE FROM JAMIROQUAI AND ACID JAZZ RECORDS. THEY ARE ALL WORKING TOGETHER AND JAMIROQUAI HAVE ALSO DELETED COMMENTS ON THEIR WIKIPEDIA PAGES.

LIFE OF TAU SHOW YOURSELF

THE REASON YOU WILL FIND NO MENTION OF THIS FAKE GENRE IN BLUES AND SOUL MAGAZINE IS BECAUSE IT DOES NOT EXIST. NOW LIFE OF TAU SEEING AS YOU HAVE APPOINTED YOURSELF AS THE GUARDIAN OF BLACK MUSIC IN LONDON SITTING IN CHICAGO TELL US WHO YOU ARE AS I HAVE A COUPLE OF BLACK BRITISH LONDON JOURNALISTS WHO WOULD LIKE TO INTERVIEW YOU. O ONES PUBLISHED ANYTHING YET BUT THEY LIKE ME WANT TO KNOW THE BASIS OF THE RIDICULOUS CLAIMS YOU MAKE ON THIS PAGE. LEAVE AN EMAIL AND I TELL YOU AGAIN IF YOU DELETE THIS COMMENT IT WILL BE RE-POSTED.

You see this is what happens when jealous non creators try to attach themselves to someone else’s creation then try to steal it through deception. They still seem to think they can rob Black culture. Pillar and his gang of thieves still seem to think thatย  they can fool Black people on Black music! And further proof of how desperate Eddie Pillar and Gilles Peterson are to culturally appropriate SOUL they are STILL trying to claim that jamiroquai play “acid jazz” .

HOW TO DEBUNK THE FAKE NEWS ACID JAZZ WIKIPEDIA PAGE

fakenewsacidjazzwiki1
baff-tmp_1 - Copy

SO WHAT EVIDENCE DO WE HAVE FOR THIS ACID JAZZ GENRE OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT THEY PUT THE WORDS โ€œTHIS IS ACID JAZZโ€ ON JAZZ FUNK MIXES AND THE WORDS OF 1990โ€™s โ€œMUSIC EXPERTSโ€ WHO WEREN’T ALIVE IN THE 1970โ€™s DONโ€™T UNDERSTAND WHAT JAZZ FUNK IS OR KNOW SO  LITTLE ABOUT 20TH CENTURY SOUL AND BLACK MUSIC IN GENERAL THAT THEY ACTUALLY BELIEVE IT WAS INVENTED BY A DJ IN 1988 IN ENGLAND.

I WILL TELL YOU NONE WHATSOEVER. THE REASON WHY SO MANY KIDS BELIEVE IT IS BECAUSE THIS FAKE NEWS ACID JAZZ PAGE HAS BEEN UP FOR MANY YEARS MISLEADING THE PUBLIC. IT IS A TOTAL WORK OF FICTION AND A CAREFULLY WRITTEN TISSUE OF LIES

BUT ITโ€™S EASILY DEBUNK ABLE TO ANY KNOWLEDGEABLE FUNKSTER FROM THE 70โ€™S AND AS I KEEP SAYING JUST ASK AN ELDER IF YOU WEREN’T ALIVE IN THE 70โ€™s AND 80โ€™s, AS WE GO THROUGH IT TOGETHER YOU WILL SEE THE PLANNING THATโ€™S GONE INTO IT AND THE EXTENT THEY HAVE GONE TO TO APPROPRIATE A SOUND THEY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH OTHER THAN MAKE MONEY OUT OF IT

THAT THEY KNOW ITโ€™S A LIE AND THEY’VE GONE TO THE EXTENT OF THREATENING PEOPLE WHO SPEAK OUT AGAINST IT SHOWS THEIR DESPERATION SO THE NEXT TIME YOU SEE A 20TH CENTURY SOUL MIX LABELLED ACID JAZZ YOU WILL REMEMBER THIS PAGE. AND IF NOW OR AT ANYTIME IN THE FUTURE SOMEONE TRIES TO TELL YOU THAT ACID JAZZ IS A MUSIC GENRE AND NOT A RECORD COMPANY THEN HIT THEM WITH THIS.

I LEAVE NO STONE UNTURNED, ITโ€™S WATERPROOF, ROCK SOLID AND LEAVES THEM NO WIGGLE ROOM. SMOKE AND MIRRORS WILL NOT FOOL ANYONE THATโ€™S BECAUSE ITโ€™S WRITTEN BY AN ACTUAL 1970โ€™S LONDON SOULHEAD AND NOT SOMEONE PRETENDING TO UNDERSTAND THE GROOVE LIKE THE AUTHORS OF THIS PAGE.

ACID JAZZ RECORDS HOLDING SOUL MUSIC HOSTAGE ON WIKIPEDIA

Ask yourself why are SO CALLED “Jewish” Americans, Germans, Russians, Swedes etc in charge of a page about Black Music in London, preventing people from writing the truth, deleting comments deleting profiles, aiding and abetting acid jazz records in stealing the Groove from itโ€™s creators.

FIRST TAKE A LOOK AT THE TWO PAGES

THE FAKE NEWS ACID JAZZ WIKIPEDIA PAGE

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acid_jazz

THE FAKE NEWS ACID JAZZ WIKIPEDIA

(TALK PAGE)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Acid_jazz

Also take a look at the talk page. Not a lot of people know about the talk pages but here is where people change history in this era. Here you can see all the fake accounts they are using to delete profiles, keep the page up and frighten people off. This is the extent they are going to to steal from people who have nothing, rob them of their culture and leave them to die in poverty just so that they can make money.  These people are connected to Jamirotalk, Jamiroquai, the Official Jamiroquai sub reddit and the Funkin Site. Itโ€™s a mini cabal and they behave like one elsewhere.

As you can see Life of tau is the gatekeeper (A fake account like all of them) and he is doing all he can to preserve the page. Thatโ€™s his job. He prevents anyone from writing the truth but allows acid jazz records to keep adding bands to the page. The whole lie depends on this re-writing of history. If he was a real editor he would have done something about the lies on the page.  See how desperately he tried to find some evidence for this acid jazz and couldn’t. Notice how they tried to bring in a fake editor to frighten people off.  Then when that failed they bring in someone else. Another fake account this time a Californian who thinks he can pull the wool over the eyes of  Black London Funksters about Black music in their own city. He gets taken to school and then vanishes.

As you’ve seen with Honeybee/Vintage etc on jamirotalk they are desperate to keep people quiet but they lack any real knowledge of Black music. They realize they canโ€™t win an argument so they try it on and then back off!  they are desperate to keep the page up. They will keep it there for as long as they can until people start tuning up in their droves. Note also how many people have the page on their watch list and ask yourself why would so many people be interested in a page full of lies. Wikipedia are complicit in this Lie. They are aware of the page and have taken no action. Thats because as Larry Sandler says itโ€™s been infiltrated.

There will be a lot of repetition. They repeat this is acid jazz so I keep repeating that it isn’t and that no such genre exists.  People of my generation will never refer to the Groove as acid Jazz. We grew up in the 60โ€™s so we know the sounds of Motown, James Brown and the original R&B sound our Grandparents listened to. We were kids in the 70โ€™s so we know the jazz funk sounds of the early 70โ€™s and all the disco era sounds of the late 70โ€™s because by then we were old enough to go night clubbing.

acid-jazz-liars1

We know all the different sounds of the early 80โ€™s and we know the sounds of the late 80โ€™s because they are the same sounds we heard at the start of this PART1. Thatโ€™s a period of about 30 years. So when we hear these styles on compilations that they claim is called acid jazz we know them all. We know Bossa Nova is Latin Soul not English acid jazz. We know two step because itโ€™s what we listened to in the 70โ€™s when it was called Jazz Soul. We know our own late 80โ€™s Brit Funk sound because we created it. Not acid jazz records!

The people who refer to any of these sounds as acid jazz are people who simply donโ€™t know any of the sounds. If they did then they wouldnโ€™t call it acid jazz.

So when in future you see any writer or critic or whatever fancy name they give themselves, refer to any aspect of the groove as acid jazz then rest assured they donโ€™t know Jazz Funk or 20th Century SOUL/R&B.

Donโ€™t take my word for anything I have written here. I have given you many people to speak too regarding Black London of the 1980’s that this page of BS claims to represent. So Ask questions from people who were actually there.

In fact assume that Iโ€™m lying and then set out to disprove what Iโ€™m saying. Speak to a 70โ€™s Funkster if youโ€™re from the UK then it will be easy. Most will have a Soulhead in the family, if not your elders would have old mates who were Funkters. Thereโ€™s plenty of Soul Girls, by now in their mid 50โ€™s still  around. Just ask about or tell them to take a look at what I have written and ask them if Iโ€™m telling the truth.  The Truth Does not Fear Investigation. Decide for yourself. Whoโ€™s the real London Soulboy

Me or the authors of this fake news pageโ€ฆSO LETโ€™S GO

  • So they are are telling lies from the get go…….โ€œThis article is about a music genreโ€

No this article is not about a music genre as no such genre exists. This article is FAKE NEWS and is a total lie. It is an attempt to re-write the history of Black music in the late 20th Century and to wipe all the British Soul bands of the 1980’s Invasion of America out of history.

So we start of with the statement;Acid jazz known as club jazz is a musical genre?

SAYS WHO EXACTLY?…Eddie Pillar? Gilles Peterson? and Acid Jazz Records?

There are no such genres in Black music. They are not musical genres because Eddie Pillar, Gilles Peterson or their Wikipedia gatekeeper Michael Bink Knowles say they are. There is no such thing as a genre called Acid Jazz and there is no such thing as a music genre called Club Jazz. They do not exist

This article is a pack of lies designed to fool the next generation into believing a record Label created in 1988 in London is responsible for over 60 years of Black American Soul. Whatโ€™s being referred to on this Fake News acid Jazz Page is nothing more than 20th Century SOUL.

We progress……

acid lies
got-its-nam

WHAT GENRE? says who?

And who gave Gilles Peterson the right to re-classify Jazz Funk, Rare Groove or any type of Black Music for that matter? Who are they to decide what FUNK is called?

As you already know there was no genre called acid jazz in 1987/1988 or at any stage during the 1980โ€™s or the 1990โ€™s here in London. Acid Jazz was the name of a record label. There is not and NEVER WAS a genre called acid jazz here in London. That is a total lie. None of us ever referred to the groove as acid jazz,

acid lie covers-04

RARE GROOVE.

THE RETURN OF 70โ€™s FUNK

Now before I remembered my Blues and soul issues and all the other mags of the era I was literally going to write a book to debunk the rubbish written on wilkipedia about Black London of the 1980’s. However all of the 80’s was recorded so I don’t rally need to. I decided to leave this bit in here to give youngsters a view of what happened in the 1980’s form someone who was actually there.

What was Rare Groove? Well it wasn’t really disco era music. It was mostly the pre-disco era music from earlier on in the 1970โ€™s. It was 1970โ€™s Jazz Funk and Latin Soul. You could buy late 70โ€™s vinyl. Lotโ€™s of us bought up our disco era favorites in the early 80โ€™s,the albums we couldn’t afford when we were younger. The Northern Soul crowd were into the earlier stuff from the 60โ€™s Motown era but that’s old tradition that never ended (even during the disco era) and still continues to this day in the North of England. And no Funkster or Soulhead ever referred to any aspect of the groove as Club Jazz. I was there. The American writer and the Brit from Oxford were not. The people behind this page are from Jamiroquai and acid jazz records. You know that already though.

NO ONE referred to the groove as acid jazz . Our contemporaries in the House movement referred to some of their sound as acid House. none of us (Funksters) ever used the word acid jazz to describe Jazz funk so thatโ€™s a total lie. To Funksters House was considered almost mainstream and not in the same league as The Funk. Soulheads were notoriously snobbish, House and Techno was not our sound and to suggest that we in the 1980โ€™s referred to Rare Groove, the sound of our youth, the sound of Roy Ayres and Herbie Hancock acid jazz is absolute and total rubbish. Some and only some 1990โ€™s kids a decade later called Jazz Funk acid Jazz. And that as you will discover was because of deliberate and misleading labeling by acid jazz records. Who printed and continued to print โ€œ100% Acid Jazzโ€ or โ€œThis is acid Jazzโ€ on Black Music Compilations in order to appropriate the sound.

Tom Browne, Jean Carne, Lonnie Liston Smith, Roy Ayers in London.

We (70โ€™s/80โ€™s London Funksters) know who Isaac Hayes, Miles Davis, Lonnie Liston Smith and Donald Byrd are. We know what Jazz Funk is. We know who the Mizzel Brothers are. We were there the first time round in the late 1960โ€™s and early 1970โ€™s. We grew up with them before the writer of this Fake News acid jazz page was even born. We went to their concerts, we bought their records we followed their careers.

The only genre we (People who were actually there) created in the late 80โ€™s early 1990โ€™s was Jungle/D&B, Then Dubstep. No style of Jazz or Black American R&B/SOUL of the 20th Century was invented by a London disc Jockey called Giles Peterson. That is a ridiculous claim to make. No one had even heard of acid jazz records in the 1980โ€™s. It wasnโ€™t until the late 1990โ€™s that any one had even heard of them. Total rubbish. Ask your elders.

THERE WAS NOTHING CALLED ACID JAZZ/CLUB JAZZ IN 1980โ€™S LONDON

I was in the London club scene all through the late 1970โ€™s and into the 1980โ€™s. So were thousands of others. The writer of this Fake news page from Jamiroquai/acid jazz records, whom none of us have ever heard of was clearly not. There was no such phrase as โ€œacid jazzโ€ anywhere in London at the time. Anyone who was there will confirm this. In fact there wasnโ€™t even a Jazz funk movement in the mid 80โ€™s as we had disbanded by then. Soul was mainstream and Breakdancing/Electro was at itโ€™s height. Jazz went back underground. We know all the sounds of Black American Soul and Black British Soul from Blue Note Jazz and Motown to Neo Soul and Jungle and I never once heard anything being described as acid jazz/Club jazz in the 1980โ€™s.

Acid Jazz is NOT a genre. It doesn’t exist. itโ€™s not even a sub genre. Funk is a genre, Rock is a genre, Soul is a genre, Jazz is a genre, Bossa Nova is a genre, Country and Western is a genre. Electrified-Funk, Disco-era Funk & P-Funk for example are sub-genres of FUNK. Different styles and sounds of FUNK. They are all Funk and interchangeable and as such they you can have (Electrified) P Funk for example. Like Parliament in the late 70โ€™s. These sounds are subjective so some will say a track is late 70โ€™s Disco era Funk some will say itโ€™s early 80โ€™s Post Disco era Funk because itโ€™s more electrified and lacks the violins. But there are electrified Funk tracks in the 70โ€™s and there are violins in the 80โ€™s as well!

Those arguments are subjective but ultimately itโ€™s still a genre called FUNK. Jazz is a genre. Under the umbrella of Jazz you have different styles of jazz. Jazz-and soul fused together is Jazz Soul, Jazz and Funk fused together is Jazz-Funk. Then you’ve got other styles of jazz like Latin jazz and so on. You can argue as to whether somethings more Jazz Funk than Jazz Soul but those arguments are down to opinion or how you interpret what you hear. You may agree or disagree but ultimately it still comes under the genre of Jazz.

Acid jazz is not a genre and it is not a sub genre either. Itโ€™s just a record label. It didnโ€™t create any sound, genre or sub genre whatsoever thatโ€™s why nobody can name an acid jazz track that isn’t SOUL/R&B.

So this writer doesn’t even understand what a genre is and he certainly doesn’t know anything about 1980โ€™s London or Black music as I will go on to demonstrate. By his own admission he discovered what he refers to as acid jazz in 1991. He wast even there in the 1980โ€™s and this will become clear to you as we go through the pack of lies on this Fake News Acid Jazz Wikipedia page.

Rare Groove is what acid jazz records are trying to convince new millennialโ€™s and people who donโ€™t know 70โ€™s Jazz Funk is a new music genre that they invented in 1988.

Rare Groove in London was a mid 1980โ€™s return to the old sound that we grew up with in the 1960โ€™s and early 1970โ€™s. Rare groove is Music like 1950โ€™s Blue Note Jazz, 1970โ€™s R&B, Early 1970โ€™s Jazz Funk, Latin Soul, Salsa, Samba and Bossa Nova, and the International sound of the very early 1970โ€™s. Basically Itโ€™s the sound of Black music before what people now refer to as the Disco era. The Disco era was roughly between 1976 and 1980. Some people turned to old school Soul when Electro Funk began to dominate and take over the charts around late 1983 and into 1984. Also lots of people were converted to Funk at the same time.

Describe this era.

The 70โ€™s were gone. This was a new decade and the sound of Funk was completely different. Half a decade is a long time when youโ€™re young and the disco era was  a distant memory. That was when we had just left school. Now we (disco era teens) were young adults in our mid to late 20โ€™s. The sound had changed and If you liked Jazz funk or you missed the old sound then you had very few places to turn. No one was really making music for you. Many die hard 70โ€™s Jazzfunkateers didnโ€™t like the new sound and some Soul DJโ€™s and Pirate Soul stations refused to play it. Fans of Tom Browne & Herbie Hancock were up in arms. I remember Blues and Soul Magazine calling Kool and The Gang โ€œFool and the Gangโ€ for changing their sound but at least they didn’t go Synth crazy like Herbie on (Rockit). In the London many DJโ€™s like Robbie Vincent refused to play electro and some fans of Brit funk groups like Freeeze and Second Image were most upset with the move away from Jazzfunk.

So If you liked the old sound there was nowhere really for you to turn except to go back in time to the jazz funk you remembered. There was so much music in the 70โ€™s that it was impossible to hear it all. A whole lot went under the radar and a lot of it received no airplay at all so it was easy to find something that you had never heard before. In the early 80โ€™s it was still mostly vinyl, futuristic technology like CDโ€™s had yet to become popular. There was no Internet, so if you wanted to get your hands on a classic you would have to hope that advertisers in periodicals like Blues and Soul magazine would have what you were looking for.

Sugar Hill Gangs; Rappers Delight and then the Message by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five had made the underground Hip Hop sound a worldwide phenomena and films like Breakinโ€™ and Beat Street were released. Bโ€™ boys, Break dancing and Electro Funk was in. Old school Funk was out. Many of our old friends from the 70โ€™s were still around like Kool and the Gang, The Whispers, or Earth Wind and Fire but their sound was different. The famous 1970โ€ฒs Phenix Horn section of Earth wind and fire had gone for example. CHIC were gone and took their violins with them replaced by the Jam and Lewis Sound of Change and The SOS Band, P Funk & Cosmic Funk and Parliament were another distant memory.

The God Father of Funk George Clinton had gone Electro-Funk (Atomic dog). Prince had stopped playing the Funk and turned into Jimi Hendricks. Slick Rick James took on Cameo with Throwin down, the turned the Mary Jane girls into superstars โ€œThe son of Shaftโ€ Barkays was long long gone replaced by electro funk tracks like Freakshow. New Producers like Leon Sylvers, Kashif, Jam and Lewis had replaced the disco era producers like Quincy or Gambel and Huff. Real Jazz went back underground again but lots of younger kids were rapping over jazz tracks and Jazz hip hop was born. There was quite a lot of mixing jazz, hip hop and soul in the early 80โ€™s even though this fake news page tries to convince you that acid jazz records in 1988.

Many of the classic 1960โ€™s and 1970โ€™s records were almost impossible to buy. Remember this is before the Internet where you would sometimes sit for hours in front of the radio with your cassette tape poised on record hoping and praying that the DJ would play the song you were longing to hear. Ask your elders. They were mostly out of print and often you would have to order them on Import from America if you could get them at all, or maybe pay a DJ who happened to have the track you were looking for to make you a cassette tape. This is why it was called Rare. It was called Rare for the simple fact that 1970โ€™s Funk vinyl was difficult to get.

To make it worse in the 1980โ€™s acts that we older Funksters had been listening to since the 1970โ€™s like Cameo, Patrice Rushen, Prince, Rick James, Herbie Hancock etc. became worldwide superstars as R&B went mainstream in the mid 1980โ€™s. For the first time we had a weekday Soul show with Tony Blackburn on Radio London. Before that you had to wait until the weekend to hear Greg Edwards (Soul Spectrum) or the Robbie Vincent Show. We no longer had to rely on the heroic Pirate Stations. The Funk was Spread across the Thames Valley and many thousands of kids and older people became Soulheads and converted to the Funkโ€ฆ

The mainstream did their best to suppress the Funk in the late 70โ€™s and early 80โ€™s and thatโ€™s why we had so many Pirate radio stations in London. Radio 1 at the time were the sworn enemies of Blues and Soul readers until thankfully the โ€˜radio 1 mafiaโ€™ as we called them were slung out in the late 80โ€™s and replaced by DJโ€™s s who played music relevant to us and not to 1960โ€™s hippies. So a lot of people who never knew them in the 70โ€™s were interested to find out what they sounded like back in their earlier careers so they bought a lot of the records too. This made it even more Rare if you like. For example you couldnโ€™t buy Herbie or Patriceโ€™s old 70โ€™s Jazzfunk albums for love nor money.

As the decade wore on CDโ€™s became more popular, classics were re-printed and most people got hold of the songs that they were looking for eventually, but the name Rare Groove still remains to this day as a way to describe pre-disco era R&B, Jazz, Funk, Soul and Latin. Although nowadays it seems to include the whole of the 1970โ€™s. Itโ€™s no longer rare in this day and age when you can more or less get anything you want. But the name Rare groove still persists.

Itโ€™s the younger kids of the 80โ€™s that refer to jazz Funk as Rare groove as thatโ€™s what they heard it called when they came of age, just as itโ€™s the younger kids of the 90โ€™s that refer to Jazz funk as acid jazz because thatโ€™s what they were told by acid jazz records when they came of age. We still call it by itโ€™s real name because we came of age when it was being created. We call it Jazz Funk and Soul How do I know all this. Because I was there. And I will say this many times in this document. Donโ€™t take my word for anything. Ask an elder to read what I have said. They will tell you whether they agree with me or this Fake news acid jazz page. Again thereโ€™s an old saying and that isโ€ฆ

The truth does not fear investigation.

Itโ€™s the liars that try to censor things and prevent investigation. Remember that phrase as it will come in handy when your an adult. So Rare groove has got absolutely nothing to do with acid jazz records other than the fact they made Rare groove compilations in the 1990โ€™s. And signed bands playing Rare Groove like Jamiroquai. Its a Lie and they (acid jazz) played no part in our youth in the 1980s ask any one who was there. So you can take our word for it or you can take it from the writer of this FAKE NEWS ACID JAZZ PAGE who claims that Rare Groove is a music genre invented by Acid jazz records in 1988.

All they are doing is mass producing Soul mixes and claiming them as acid jazz.

acid lies

Were you to ask them what any of these sounds were they wouldn’t be able to tell you

Questionโ€™s to ask Gilles Peterson and Eddie Pillar….

  • Name a track that belongs to this acid jazz genre and name a club jazz track?

Don’t try and tell us that Jamiroquai play so called “acid jazz” invented here in Lodon in 1988 because every funkster on the planet knows all those sounds from original 70’s/80’s Funk. I have proven as much in THE SOULHEAD TALES. So they have no hiding place!

  • Ask them to name the first “acid jazz” single in the mid 1980โ€™s. Who was it by? How high did it chart? They wonโ€™t be able to because there isn’t one. And they cannot tamper with the charts of the 1980’s. It’s all recorded and you will find no mention of any “acid jazz” genre.

They wonโ€™t be able to name a 1980’s “acid jazz” trcak or “acid jazz” album because there wasn’t one. No one called the groove acid jazz in the 1980โ€™s. And you will find no reference to any so called acid jazz genre in any 1980’s Magazine, T,V Show club report etc etc,

THE ACID JAZZ TIME MACHINE!

The Fake News acid jazz page goes on to say;

โ€œAcid-jazz originated in the London club scene of the mid 80โ€™sโ€

โ€ฆSays an someone who would have been a small child at the time, a schoolboy not old enough to go to pub or nightclub!

No it did not which is why there is no reference to this lie in any Black Music publication of the 1980’s and neither will you find anyone who was actually there who knows what this so called genre is supposed to be.

โ€œAcid-jazz originated in the London club scene of the mid 80โ€™sโ€

You will find no reference to an imaginary music genre emerging here in the London club scene of the 1980’s. There was no such thing as a Black music genre called Acid Jazz.

I was in the club scene of the mid 80โ€™s. There was nothing called acid jazz that originated in the club scene 1980โ€™s London. I was there and so were hundreds and thousands of others. The American/British writer from Oxford were not. You would have cleared the dance floor of any club in the mid 1980โ€™s had you put on old fashion music like James Brown or Jazz funk or even Disco. Those sounds were dead, gone never to return again.

Where is the evidence for this โ€œacidโ€ jazz scene? There was a jazz scene but no one used the word acid and acid jazz records formed in 1988 were not responsible for it. If what he is referring to is Rare Groove then Rare Groove as I said started in the very early 80โ€™s. If what he is talking about is Rare Groove club nights then we had them in the very early 80โ€™s as well before the phrase Rare Groove was even coined. We used to call them nostalgia nights. The 1970โ€™s were our school days so on some of these club nights people would dress up in School uniform. They were old school nights hence the term โ€œOld Skoolโ€! We spelt School with a โ€œKโ€ to show the teacher how much we had learned. You would have the odd DJ doing a Northern Soul or jazz Latin nights in some pubs or clubs but in no way was it a major scene.

I can state unequivocally that at no time and a no stage was there any genre called โ€œacidโ€Jazz in this City (London). At no time and at no stage during the 80โ€™s did any of us refer to the groove as โ€œacidโ€ Jazz. At no time and at no stage did any of us we ever use the phrase it was unheard of. Some of our contemporaries in the house movement late (1986 early 1987) called their sound acid house but not us. The sound being referred to as I said above Rare Groove or Jazz Hip Hop. Not acid Jazz. Acid jazz is trying to take credit for a sound and a London Jazz scene that was in existence before they even existed. Acid Jazz records created nothing.

The Fake News acid jazz page goes on to say;

โ€œThe movement spread to US, Japan, Eastern Europe and Brazil!โ€

Great! Fantastic. Take a moment to think what they are saying here. So now the Fake news acid jazz page is telling us that Black American 1950โ€™s Blue Note Jazz, Black American 1970โ€™s R&B, Early 1970โ€™s Black American Jazz and Funk Soul (Rare Groove), Latin Soul, Salsa, Samba and Bossa Nova, and the Brit Funk sound and Black American Disco era Funk (1976 To 1982) is called acid jazz…..”Invented” here in London by Gilles peterson in 1988 and spread over the world thanks to a non existent London movement called acid jazz in the mid 1980โ€™s. Brilliant!

Unluckily for Acid Jazz cultural thieves everything that happened in the Black Music on both sides of the Atlantic was recorded and you will hear nothing about any Black music genre called acid jazz in London.

So Invicta FM’s Gilles Peterson “Acid Jazz”music genre spread to the US, Japan, Brazil, Eastern Europe and Brazil..Amazing!

You will find no reference to any of this BS in any copy of BS. It is a total lie.

Think about what they are trying to convince you of. This page would have you believe that 1960โ€™s and 1960โ€™s and 1970โ€™s Black American Soul was introduced to Black Americans thanks to an English company called acid jazz records created in 1988. Brazilians were introduced to their own sounds from the 1970โ€™s like Latin Soul, Salsa, Samba and Bossa Nova, thanks to an English company called acid jazz created in 1988. So it looks like they have invented the Acid Jazz Time machine that many older commenters on you-tube Funk videos keep asking for. Acid jazz have taken credit for other peoples music and now they are trying to take credit for introducing them to their own sounds.

โ€œJamiroquaiโ€ track canned heat in part copies the style of George Duke as you will see in the Soulhead Tales below. One of my recommendations is the following performance;

Shine on (Live)

George Duke featuring Louis โ€œThunder thumbsโ€ Johnson;
(Shibuya Public Hall Tokyo 1983)

Take a look at the video and that will tell you what the Japanese know about the Funk. They were well known for their love of Soul music in the 70โ€™s! Then take a look at Earth Wind and Fire in Brazil. Disco was a worldwide Phenomena, Funk was a worldwide phenomena in the 1970โ€™s.The whole Planet was gripped by Disco fever. Brazilians were not introduced to Jazz Funk Latin Soul fusion by a record label in London. They helped create the sound they were in it!

Deodato was there, Gilberto Gill was there, Azymuth were there and many many others. South Americans were not introduced to Soul thanks to acid jazz records in the 1990s! The whole of Europe knows Jazz, Funk and Soul. Soul was everywhere, before, during and after the Disco era. There were Funk bands or bands playing Black music all across the globe. There were Japanese Funk Bands, African Funk Bands, German Funk Bands, French Funk Bands, Dutch Funk Bands, Australian Funk, Greek Funk Bands, Turkish Funk Bands as well as British Funk bands in the 1970โ€™s. The people writing this rubbish were tiny children at the time.

There were Soul Undergrounds equivalent to the UK Soulheads all over Europe in the 70โ€™s and 80โ€™s. In Holland, In Belgium, in France, In Italy name the Country. When EWF, Kool and the Gang and all the rest finished playing in the UK they would head for sold out gigs in Europe Ask the American Soldiers who were stationed in Europe during the Cold War if the people didn’t know Funk nโ€™ Soul. Eastern Europeans have been following Black music since the end of the second World War in the late 1940โ€™s.

There were even Jazz Funk bands in Soviet Russia during the Cold War. There were hundreds of Soul bands in Africa. Every one from the Brothers Johnson to Dynasty landed in Nigeria. Odyssey even sung in Nigerian on Back to My roots, Obi Onihoyaโ€™s enjoy your life was a world wide smash. Everyone knows Fela Kuti. The whole Planet knew the sound of Black America. No one anywhere needed acid jazz records to introduce them to Jazz or Funk or Soul in the 1990โ€™s  If you werenโ€™t around in the 70โ€™s/80โ€™s and you come from any one of those countries again ask your elders if they credit an English record label called acid jazz records for any of these sounds. Thatโ€™s if they have ever heard of them. Total and utter rubbish.

Gilles Peterson invents Funk here London in 1988 (According to Wikipedia)

So acid jazz records invented Black Music here in 1988 and then introduced it to the world. This is what they are intending to convince future generationsโ€ฆ..Fantastic!

So a DJ in 1980’s London is responsible for The Black sounds of the Americas?

Rare Groove is the Black American sound of the 1960โ€™s and 1970โ€™s. It came from America in the first place. So how does 1960โ€™s and 1970โ€™s Black American Soul spread to Black America from London?โ€ฆAsk acid jazz records. Since when did anyone in England invent African American Doo wop ? Since when did we invent James Brown and Stevie Wonder? Since when did we invent Roy Ayres? Since when did we invent Gilberto Gil, Rufus, Santana, Chick Corea, Herb Alpert, Johnny Hammond Smith or Lonnie Liston Smith or Donald Byrd or Isaac Hayes, Sly and the Family Stone or Graham Central Station or The Meters or Mandrill? In the UK Cynmande and Osibisa came twenty years before acid jazz records even existed. So how are they responsible for all these sounds. They are not.

  • also note that they are now calling it a movement. I thought it was a genre. they have forgotten themselves or sneakily slipped it in. So acid jazz, according to this page is not only a genre itโ€™s also a mid 1980โ€™s Soul movement.

So acid jazz is a genre and a soul movement of the mid 1980โ€™s according to a kid from the 1990โ€™s from acid jazz records and jamiroquai who wasnโ€™t even there. This is how ridiculous this page of lies is and itโ€™s going to get even more bizarre as we progressโ€ฆ

c_1

One of the most stupid of quotes is this. Note before there was no mention of New Jack Swing on this page or Neo Soul. They didn’t even know what any of these sounds were as they demonstrated in their trolling on the old Jamirotalk site and on youtube.

EDDIE PILLAR AND GILLES PETERSON CLAIM CREDIT FOR NEW JACK SWING, NEO SOUL AND JAZZ FUNK- THEY CLAIM THAT ALL THESE STYLES OF FUNK WERE ONCE CALLED ACID JAZZ. So

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is toni-tone-tony.jpg

The Fake News acid jazz page goes on to say;

โ€œMany acts that might have been defined as Acid jazz are now seen as Jazz-funk, Neo soul

or jazz rapโ€

“The movement becane indidtinct as a genre…..”

NICE TRY, THERE WAS NO GENRE CALLED ACID JAZZ IN THE FIRST PLACE which is why you have been unable to name a single so called “Acid Jazz” track.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 8.jpg

No acts were ever defined as Acid Jazz as there is no such thing as a Black music genre called acid jazz. Acid Jazz is a serpent record label trying to infiltrate Black Culture and claim ownership of 20th Century Soul /R&B. bands were ever defined as acid jazz in the 1980โ€™s. The only time you will start to hear people describe Funk as acid Jazz is in the mid 1990’s when clueless so called Music writers review Jamrioquai albums and calle them Acid Jazz because they don’y know what 1970’s Jazz Funk is.

So lets recap. So far they have laid claim to about 60 years of Black American/Latin and British Soul. Now amusingly heโ€™s mixed himself up and doesn’t actually realize what heโ€™s written. Heโ€™s gotten things totally backwards! Now this might make your head hurt a bit but bear with me.

So for starters no bands were ever defined as acid jazz bands in the 1980โ€™s because nobody ever used the phrase acid jazz back then. Thatโ€™s a total lie which is why he didn’t tell you who any of these so-called bands are. Because hey exist only in his own head. Further more he seems not to understand that the 1960โ€™s and 1970โ€™s came before the 1980โ€™s!

Acid Jazz records claim that New Jack Swing was once classified or defined as Acid jazz! At the time of new jack swing no on had even heard of acid jazz records!

See if you can find anyone in America who says they used to call New Jack Swing “Acid Jazz” an Imaginary Black music genre they (Gilles Peterson, Eddie Pillar and their mob) claim was invented here in London in 1988 AFTER New Jack swing had been around for almost two years.

Think about it, heโ€™s essentially told you that Rare Groove is called acid jazz and now heโ€™s saying that acts which were defined as what he claims is Acid Jazz (which is in fact Rare Groove) are now seen as Jazz-funk, Neo Soul or Jazz rap.But Rare Groove is Jazz Funk! Rare Groove is 70โ€™s Funk that came back in the mid 1980โ€™s.

ASK BLACK AMERICA IF NEW JACK SWING AND NEO SOUL CAME FROM 1980’s LONDON THE INVENTION OF CRIMINAL A DJ THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF

Put another way heโ€™s saying that Bands that were playing 1970โ€™s Jazz Funk are now seen as bands playingโ€ฆ..well 1970โ€™s Jazz Funk?!? AND lets not forget also 1980โ€™s Jazz Rap and 1990โ€™s Neo Soul. So ATCQ and Jodecie, Boys to Men etc all have acid jazz records from London to thank for 1990โ€™s R&B.

So music that people once used to call acid jazz in the mid 80โ€™s (We didnโ€™t) is now known as Jazz-funk, Neo Soul or jazz Rap. The only trouble with that statement is that nobody ever called any style of music acid jazz in the 1980โ€™s because there was nothing called acid jazz in the 1980โ€™s it doesnโ€™t exist. Heโ€™s made it up. He thinks heโ€™s gotten away with it so he then decides to try and add more confusion by including Jazz Rap which came long before acid jazz records was created and Neo Soul which started in the early 1990โ€™s.

Confused? So am I and mores to the point so is he. He doesn’t know what heโ€™s talking about. Heโ€™s being confused by his own smoke and mirrors. He hasn’t thought it through properly.

the-incredible-acdi-jazz-time-machine2

The Actual Timeline of Black Music 1970’s/1980’s Not written by Acid Jazz records

This is the time line before the Fake News acid jazz time machine tried to change history. Thereโ€™s more to it but this is a brief outline. Original Jazz was in the 1940โ€™s, 1950โ€™s and 1960โ€™s as epitomized by the Blue Note acts of the era. Then Jazz-Funk fusion, the next stage in evolution if you like, which was basically younger Jazz musicians like Miles (Davies) Herbie (Hancock) and others mixing Jazz with Funk (James Brown), Latin, African, Caribbean (Calypso & Soca) and the Post Motown Soul sound. This came later at the end of the 1960โ€™s, and lasted until about 1975/76 (Again there was more to this era but this is the basics).

Around 1975/76 when bands like Pleasure, The Brothers Johnson/Quincy and The Commodores and others polished the sound into what some of us called โ€œSophista-Funkโ€ (Sophisticated Jazz Funk fusion). The disco era was beginning at the same time and things were getting faster. Jazz funk and the disco era sound merged and original Jazz Funkateers Like George Benson, Donald Byrd, George Duke and so on changed their sound accordingly to suit the time and the style of the era. Jazz funk was still there but it was swamped by Disco fever. Jazz Funk died out around 1981/82. I say died out but it just went underground again this time swamped by the new Electrophonic Phunk or Electro-Funk sound of the early 1980โ€™s as I will explain later.

Around 1983 the Groove begins to slow down for a brief period and Two step becomes popular again. In 1987 New Jack Swing starts. New Jack Swing was basically watered down Funk with loads of samples in it. We didn’t call it new jack swing the younger kids did. We substituted the word J with two other letters. By then British Soul is dominant, Loose Ends. Soul to Soul the Pasedenas, Omar and many otherโ€™s create the British Rare Groove/Jazz Funk sound that acid Jazz records are trying to take credit for even though they didn’t exist at the time

Neo Soul was in the early 1990โ€™s and was the next stage in Funk after New Jack Swing. The production values were better than the sparse watered down sound of New Jack swing but it contained a whole load of samples/repeats and for us (70โ€™s/80 Funksters) it was the worst decade of music that we had ever experienced. Probably because we had heard 99% of it before. Neo Soul is based on the British Sound of Loose Ends, Soul to Soul, Omar, Jam and the Jimmy Jam Terry Lewis sound Janet Jackson, and many many others bands from the 80โ€™s. It has nothing whatsoever to do with acid jazz records. According to this fake news page bands defined as acid Jazz in the 1980โ€™s are also now also defined as Neo Soul. Lets see if he can tell us exactly what this acid jazz genre is.

There was no such thing as a “band defined as acid jazz” in the 1980โ€™s because it didnโ€™t exist. And you will find nop reference to any such bands in any 1980’s Black Music publication.

So having appropriated Rare Groove and told you that itโ€™s a music genre called acid jazz heโ€™s now going to give us the back story of this acid jazz genre invented in London in 1988 that no Londoner who was there at the time has ever heard ofโ€ฆ

Various origins have been attributed to the name of the genreโ€ฆ.WHAT GENRE?

โ€œVarious origins have been attributed to the name of the genre including names to have coined the term by dj Giles Peterson and Chris Bangsโ€ฆ..โ€

See how they are trying to create a myth. Various origins lol! As if anyone called FUNK acid jaz apart from Gilles Peterson and Eddie Pillar. There are no “various origins” other than those in you own satanic heads.

So now we know who the two new Godfatherโ€™s of Soul Are. Giles Peterson and Chris Bangs. Giles Peterson and Chris Bangs are responsible for this โ€œAcid Jazzโ€ genre!

Not James Brown, Not Stevie Wonder, not The Mizel Brothers or Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Donald Byrd, Gambel and Huff, Quincy Jones or the Jazzfunkateers of 70โ€™s Funk. They are not responsible for Rare Groove. Two DJ’s from London invented 1970-‘s Funk and Rare Groove. Great. Just great.

Itโ€™s a music genre invented in 1988 by two English two DJโ€™s Giles Peterson and Chris Bang. See if you can find any 70โ€™s 80โ€™s Funkster in London or anywhere else in the UK who agrees with that ridiculous statement.

Genre? What genre?

What genre!?! There is no genre called acid jazz. There has never been a genre called acid Jazz in London. I was in London in the 1970โ€™s and the 1980โ€™s. I was a Soulboy long before acid jazz records was formed in 1988 and I never heard of a genre called acid jazz. I acknowledge no such genre. No London Jazzfuunkateer from the 1970โ€™s or Funkster from the 1980โ€™s will acknowledge any such genre. None of us credit acid jazz records with inventing Rare Groove. So still without naming a single acid jazz band or song he now decides to credit Giles Peterson and Acid jazz records with inventing the following styles of Black Music;

So According to the Fake News Wikipedia page written by the Acid Jazz cabal, The following Styles of Black American Soul were invented by Giles Peterson in 1988โ€ฆ.

Classic 1950โ€™s and 1960โ€™s Black American Soul/R&B, 1950โ€™s and 1960โ€™s Blue Note Jazz Funk, Doo-wop ect and then Jazz, 1970โ€™s Jazz-funk, 1960โ€™s/1970โ€™s Jazz soul, 1980โ€™s Jazz hip-hop & Trip hop, 1980โ€™s Jack and โ€œNewโ€ Jack Swing, 1980โ€™s House, Techno, Washington Go Go, Orange County, Minneapolis sound (Prince, the Time, Jesse Johnson, Morris Day, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis) 1970โ€™s /1980โ€™s LA (Salsoul), 1970โ€™s Disco era Funk, The Sound of NY Queens, P-Funk, C-Funk, D-Funk, 1970โ€™s Cosmic Funk, 1970โ€™s/1980โ€™s, Punk Funk, Washington Go Go DC, 1960โ€™s/ 1970โ€™s and 1980/s Brit Funk, 1970โ€™s Sophista-Funk, 1970โ€™s /1980โ€™s Electrified Funk, 1970โ€™s and 1980โ€™s Electro, Freestyle and all the other sub genres of Black American Soul Latin and South American Bossa Nova, Salsa, Samba, Calypso and all the other subgenres of Latin American Soul.

This page claims that all of the above are in fact a music genre called acid jazz invented in 1988 by Chris Bangs and Giles Peterson and for no other reason that they write lies and misleading statements on their Jazz Funk  and Rare Groove mixes like โ€œThis is acid jazzโ€ and โ€œ100% acid jazzโ€. And the only historical evidence for this so-called genre is this Fake News Wikipedia page written by Americans and someone from Oxford where Jamiroquai have a studio. And someone who by their own admission discovered what he thinks is called  acid jazz  in 1991 and so wasn’t even around at the time.

But this is good enough for Wikipedia. The Daily Mail however isn’t.

dailymail

I Donโ€™t agree with the Politics of the Daily Mail. I was  on the opposite side of the Political spectrum until I realized that the whole world of politics is a distraction and a sham. This is just to further illustrate the type of people who have infiltrated Wikipedia to push particular agendas. It explains why this pack of lies was allowed to remain for so long.

The Fake news acid jazz page goes on to say;

โ€œAcid jazz consisted of two related movements..โ€

TOTAL RUBBISH!

THERE WAS NO SUCH THING AS AN ACID JAZZ MOVEMENT IN 1980โ€™s LONDON. NO ONE HAD EVEN HEARD OF THE PHRASE. SOME KIDS IN THE 1990โ€™S CALLED JAZZ FUNK ACID JAZZ BUT THAT WAS BECAUSE OF MISLABELING BY ACID JAZZ RECORDS THAT I HAVE TOUCHED ON. THERE WERE NO TWO SO-CALLED MOVEMENTS OR ANYTHING CALLED ACID JAZZ IN 1980โ€™S LONDON.

Acid jazz consisted of two related movements?

No it did not because it never existed and there were no such movements in the 80โ€™s which is why you didn’t name them. Just as you have yet to name one of these fake non existent acid jazz bands. Nobody ever referred to the groove as acid jazz in the 1980โ€™s and secondly there were no soul movements during the mid 80โ€™s. There was only one London Soul movement and that was us the Soulheads of the late 1970โ€™s and early 1980โ€™s. After 1983/84 there were NO Soul movements until 1987 when House music separated and became a genre in itโ€™s own right. I say genre but itโ€™s just another branch of R&B just as every style of Black American music I mention in this document is. None of it was invented by acid jazz records.

And in any case thatโ€™s not how the London underground worked. In 1980โ€™s London there were Funksters who were into Electro/ Break-dancing and rap but they didnโ€™t become a major hip hop movement in any sense of the word. In-fact they abandoned Rap in the mid 80โ€™s until the London hip hop scene was rejuvenated in the late 80โ€™s when people like Public Enemy set the Capital alight. It wasnโ€™t until the early 1990โ€™s that there was what you could describe as a Hip Hop movement.

Up until then they were just Funksters who liked a bit of rap. We used to call them Rap bands. There were Funksters who were into the Washington sound of GO GO DC, and they weren’t really a movement either, they were still Funksters. After the acid house movement I mentioned earlier came then the D&B/Junglist movement followed In the early 1990โ€™s. And then Dubstep, although that had been around mush earlier. We use the term movement now when we look back but at the time no one really used the term.We were tribes. In the later half of the 20th century 1950โ€™s onward some of the British music tribes were Mods and Rockers, Teddy Boys, Punks, Reggae Rockers, New Romantics, Goths, Suede Heads, Skin Heads and us the Soulheads.

Iโ€™ve never heard of an acid jazz movement in the 80โ€™s and neither did anyone else. Us Brit Funk era kids of the 1970โ€™s like to call ourselves the original Soul movement but really there were Soul movements in the 1950โ€™s before we were born at the time of the King of Rock and Roll Little Richard. We had Dame Shirley Bassey, Kenny Lynch and The Chantโ€™s who later became The Real Thing in the 70โ€™s. And the most famous British Soul movement was in the 60โ€™s. The Rolling Stones, The Animals and the Beatles are evidence of that. Although many donโ€™t mention the 1950โ€™s Black American bands whoโ€™s sounds they copied. This is exactly what acid jazz records are trying to do now with 70โ€™s Funk. They are trying to write the creators out of History. And they are trying to set up Jamiroquai are the new Beatles. This document is designed d to put a stop to this lie. Interestingly acid jazz records are even claiming music from this era as acid jazz. Music from 30 years before they were even created.

There was most certainly NOT a major Jazz funk Movement and no one in the London Jazz community of the 80โ€™s will credit Giles Peterson or acid jazz records with creating or inventing anything. What you had were certain Clubs nights or all-dayers where devotees of say 70โ€™s Funk, Northern Soul or Latin Soul would groove to their music of choice. There were some DJโ€™s who specialized in particular aspects of the groove like Salsa, Samba and as I said above GO GO.

Often there were special guest appearances and PAโ€™s by visiting artists. To suggest that there was some major Jazz funk movement/s in mid 1980โ€™s London when the sound was dead to all but a few die-hards and newbies and when Electro Funk/ Breakdancing and Synth Funk was at itโ€™s height displays not only a lack of Black music History (Jazz-funk was dead in the mid 1980โ€™s) but a complete ignorance of 1980โ€™s London and the Funk overground of the era.

The writer wasn’t even there. Heโ€™s just made it up. This (Mid 80โ€™s) was when we had the British version of soul train. It was the time of The Jam and Lewis sound and Electro-Funk. In the UK It was the time of Loose Ends, Sahara, 52nd Street, 5 STAR, Total Contrast, Jaki Graham, The Antilles, Hi Tension and so on. The British Soul Invasion was at itโ€™s height and our bands were on US Soultrain. There were no two โ€œacidโ€ jazz feeder Soul movements, no such movements existed and like the rest of this page itโ€™s a lie written to confuse the youngsters. Total rubbish. And if youโ€™re a youngster youโ€™re suddenly beginning to realize that you’ve been sold a lie aren’t you? Youโ€™re beginning to see through their smoke and mirrors.

Questionโ€™s to ask acid jazz records

  • Ask them who was in these so-called movements that began this imaginary acid jazz movement that no one who was there has ever heard of.
  • We Funksters were called The SOULHEADS, You had Reggae Rockers and the lovers Rock crowd (Reggae), you had The Punks, Rockers, New Romantics, SuedeHeads SkinHeads, then there was us the SoulHeads. or Jazzfunkateers (1974- 1982). Ask them to tell you what these two non existent mid 1980โ€™s Soul movements were called. Ask them what mid 1980โ€™s London Night clubs these โ€œacid jazzโ€ movements movements based at?
  • And where can we find any mention of these movements in Blue and Soul club reports?
THERE WERE CLUB REPORTS IN EVERY ISSUE OF BLUES AND SOUL!

They wonโ€™t be able to because they never existed. We stopped calling ourselves SOULHEADS and Jazzfunkateers when the old Brit Funk sound died. Ask anyone who was there. We adopted the American sound after that so we no longer referred to our bands as Brit Funk. It was the American sound of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis was the prevailing groove at the time. I think it was Morgan Kahn that said Hanging on a String (Loose Ends) was a snapshot of what was going on at the time. He was right. We did not invent it, we copied it but did it in our own special way and the Americans loved it. The success of them (Loose Ends) or 52nd Street, Sahara and British Funk in 80โ€™s America is testament to that. I will repeat this more than once throughout this document. None of us in the UK would ever claim that we invented Black American Soul.

Its a lie. They are just trying to create a back story to make it sound a bit more convincing. And no one ever really referred to Rare groove as a movement back then either. So if they claim that was what they meant then itโ€™s false. They wonโ€™t be able to name any of there imaginary movements because there were none. We never called ourselves anything after about 1983. There was nothing to call ourselves. Jazz Funk was gone so we couldnโ€™t really call our self Jazz Funkateers any more. What we called Brit Funk was gone. Now we were playing the American Sound although we had our own special way of playing it. The soulboy white socks had now become a nationwide fashion and so had all the styles that we invented and the dances. For a while we wore US Cavalry hats and the white glove because of Michael Jacksonโ€™s Asantehene glove. Then we wore the punk studs that you see Africa Bambaata from Soul Sonic Force wearing in videos from the 80โ€™s. Some tried to call us the New Soul Nation but it didnโ€™t stick. We were just Funksters into Soul. How do I know all this? Because I was a London Soulboy. The liars from acid jazz records and itโ€™s American keepers were not.

acid jazz is cultural appropriation
You can never deceive a 70’s/80’s Funkster on 70’s/80’s FUNK!

The Fake news acid jazz page goes on to say

The first was based around records released by DJs and producers that included are jazz tracks, particularly from the 1960s and 1970s, often mixing them with percussion tracks and electronic dance beats The second were groups influenced by these recordings and who emphasized a groove based approach.???????

AGAIN, TOTAL RUBBISH.WHAT THE FUNK ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT, A GROOVE BASED APPROACH

HAHAHAHA! A-GROOVE-BASED-APROACH.- You know nothing about THE FUNK do you!

Liars use complicated and intricate sentence structures unnecessary words and insignificant but plausible sounding details that help them inflate their deceit.

You can tell straight away that was not written by an outsider who know nothing about Black music. Groove based approach? What the heck is he talking about. Who were these DJโ€s and Producers? Name them. Again you can easily tell that this is not written by any 70โ€™s/80โ€™s Londoner or anyone who even understands the groove. No Funkster of my generation ever refers to the music like that. People like this use over-complicated phrases to try and hoodwink kids.

Exactly whatโ€™s is a “groove based approach?” Ha Ha. Every song has a groove, even folk music and classical music has a groove. Give an example of a song with this โ€œgroove based approachโ€. Then give an example of a song that doesnโ€™t have a groove based approach. Even Accapella has a groove (Rhythm).

Groove based approach! Meaningless drivel, more smoke and mirrors designed to fool kids.

Questionโ€™s to ask acid jazz records

The Fake news acid jazz page goes on to say

โ€œโ€ฆparticularly from the 1960s and 1970s, en mixing them with percussion tracks and electronic dance beats???

Again what the FUNK are you talking about! Now notice amongst all this BS they haven’t told you the name of a track yet.

Ask them to name one of these mid 80โ€™s London โ€œacid jazzโ€ bands playing this โ€œPercussion-heavy, primarily live music, maintaining a groove allied it with funk, hip-hop, and dance musicโ€ tracks! They wonโ€™t be able to because there isnโ€™t one.

Any band or track they name will be Rare Groove, Soul/R&B or any of the numerous types of Black music they are trying to appropriate like Latin Soul or the British Rare Groove Jazz funk sound of Soul To Soul, Omar the Cool Noteโ€™s Loose Ends, Pasedenas and so on. They will not be able to name a single track belonging to this acid jazz genre invented in 1988 because there isn’t one.

โ€œThe second were groups influenced by these recordings and who emphasized a groove based approach……..OH DEAR…..Care to tell us who these “groups” were? You don’t though because they exist only in your hive minded head.

Questionโ€™s to ask acid jazz records 5

  • Ask them to give an example of one of these songs. Ask them to name one of these โ€œgroove basedโ€ approach songs that lead to this mid 1980โ€™s, acid Jazz genre that only Americans/Brits connected by association or religion to acid jazz records have ever heard of.

Again letโ€™s at this point lets take the opportunity to remind ourselves that so far they have still yet to name a single song that belongs to this acid jazz genre.

But at least now they are going to try an tell you what it isโ€ฆMAYBE…Can’t wait can you

acid jazz is cultural appropriation
You can never deceive a 70’s/80’s Funkster on 70’s/80’s FUNK!

*Liars use complicated and intricate sentence structures unnecessary words and insignificant but plausible sounding details that help them inflate their deceit.

The Fake News acid jazz Wikipedia page goes on to say………

โ€œBecause of itโ€™s existence of a primarily live music it was closer to jazz than any other dance style but itโ€™s focus on maintain a groove. Allied it with hip hop and dance music ????????

โ€œThe style is characterized by danceable grooves and long repetitive compositions. Typical ensemble includes horns a full rhythm section often with a drum set and additional percussion. A vocalist that may sing and rap. Often a DJ ????????โ€ฆโ€

Iโ€™m lost.  What the heck is he talking about?

I really havenโ€™t clue what this Kid is talking about. And mores to the point neither does he. Liars always use over complicated language to blind people with science as the phrase goes. Total word-salad. Again meaningless unintelligible drivel Who do they think they are kidding? Well, they are banking on the fact that it will fool people or kids who donโ€™t know anything about Black Music. And of course hoping that someone like me won’t come along. And if they do they will just delete their comments on Wikipedia as they have been doing. Nothing he has said makes any sense. It wonโ€™t make sense to any 70โ€™s/ 80โ€™s or even a musically educated 1990โ€™s Funkster. Itโ€™s just gobbledegook.

Total Bollocks.

So heโ€™s basically trying to convince people that this non existent โ€œacidโ€ jazz genre has all these attributes to it but tellingly he doesnโ€™t give an example of a song. The reason he doesnโ€™t are two fold. One because heโ€™s just made it up and two because if he did name a track then someone like me or just about any 70โ€™s Funkster would easily be able to tell him thatโ€™s not acid jazz, thatโ€™s 1970โ€™s Jazz Soul, or thatโ€™s South American Bossa Nova or thatโ€™s New Jack Swing etc..

So because there is no such thing as acid jazz he canโ€™t mention a track but they hope the over complicated use of wellโ€ฆword salad combined with smoke and mirrors will fool the next generation into believing that 20th Century Black American Soul (Rare groove) is a music genre called acid jazz invented in London in 1988 by their record label.

โ€œThe style is characterized by dance able grooves and long repetitive compositionsโ€

HUH!?, You mean like erm James Brown on ( Body Heat). Or Everything Randy Muller did With Brass Construction during the 1970โ€™s? like ( Movinโ€™) and with BT Express like (Letโ€™s Dance)? Yes ITS CALLED BLACK AMERICAN JAZZ FUNK AND SOUL and your record label did not invent it here in London in the 1990โ€™s. Regardless of how many time you say “this is acid jazz” on music compilations containing the FUNK. “dance able grooves and long repetitive compositions ARE YOU SERIOUS. YOU HAVE JUST DESCRIBED……..FUNK.

The Fake News acid jazz Wikipedia page goes on to say

โ€œTypical ensemble includes horns a full rhythm section often with a drum set and

ER YES, AGAIN WHAT WE CALLED JAMES BROWN. HEARD OF HIM?

Notice they still haven’t told you the name of a so called “ACID JAZZ ” track invented here in London in the mid 80’s Rare Groove movement as they put it. This mysterious genre which apparently spread to America, Japan etc doesn’t seem to have one song that belongs to it. I mean what was the first hit of this so called genre. What band created the first “Acid jazz” song for example. How high did it chart? Where are all the 1980’s news reports of this acid jazz genre being created.

So anyway now acid jazz records created in 1988 is apparently responsible for the God Father, Bootsy and the JBโ€™s In the 1960โ€™s and 1970โ€™s. Apparently so because acid Jazz compilations include the Funk. That description sounds a bit like GOGO Dc, So lets throw in Chuck Brown as well. I mean you might as well claim the Washington Drum n Synth clatter as well. That was popular in the mid 1980’s You claim everything else. Actually come to think of it Jamiroquai’s (Hooked Up) contains elements of the GOGO Beat. And Eddie Pillar claims that Emergency on Planet Earth is an ACID JAZZ album ans not what I say it is on THE SOULHEAD TALES so yeah, Gilles Peterson invented GOGO DC as well…in 1988.

The Fake News acid jazz Wikipedia page goes on to say…..

โ€œA vocalist that may sing and rapโ€

OH DEAR………………..YES, THATโ€™S CALLED SOUL AND BLACK AMERICAN RAP. WHAT WE USED TO CALL RYHMING OR JAZZ-HIP HOP!

No one in this country invented Jazz Hip Hop let alone anyone connected to acid Jazz records. Donโ€™t you hear singing and rhyming on Tom Browneโ€™s Funkin for Jamaica. It was happening in the underground at the same time as Africa Bambaata,Grand Master Flash and co were creating the new sound of hip hop in the late Disco and early post Disco era. It wasnโ€™t invented nearly 10 years later here in London in 1988 by acid jazz records. I mean are you people serious?

Remember we still havenโ€™t had a single acid jazz song named on this fake news โ€œwe invented sous and itโ€™s called acid jazzโ€ page.

WOW. Just think. It must have taken a lot to come up with all that. I can almost feel their thought process. Youโ€™re beginning to see the planning that has gone into this page of 100% lies. They say if youโ€™re gonna lie then lie big and you can see what their intention is. You can see how they must have sat down and thought, how can we appropriate 20th Century Black music and make it sound credible. How can we steal a whole culture and sound then make it look as if we invented it. Letsโ€™ make it sound so over-complicated that we sound like music experts no one will be able to decipher whatโ€™s been said. These kids donโ€™t know anything about Soul. This is what they want written into history,

Weโ€™ll create listing after listing, get the PR machine going. Keep pushing the word acid jazz, acid jazz, acid jazz. Well print it on every compilation and every mix. This is acid jazz, 100% acid, acid jazz, that acid jazz this acid jazz.Sooner or later the next generation is going to think Jazz funk is actually acid jazz! Well keep repeating it until it sticks. Give it about 30 years and no one will be able to prove or disprove it. What if someone confronts us? Then lie, deny it, obfuscate, Itโ€™s smoke and mirrors. It works in Politics. After all whoโ€™s going to know enough about SOUL to argueโ€ฆ..Hello.

acid jazz is cultural appropriation

Now, amusingly the writer/s once again shows his total lack of musical knowledge and proves that he wasn’t old enough to have experienced the time period heโ€™s trying to rewrite the history of. Itโ€™s clear doesnโ€™t even understand what the word โ€œliveโ€ means in conjunction with the Groove letโ€™s take a laugh, I mean a lookโ€ฆ.

The Fake News acid jazz wikipedia page goes on to say;

โ€œ..as a percussion-heavy, primarily live musicโ€

No style of funk in the 1980โ€™s required it to be played live! The writer is no 70โ€™s Funkster as heโ€™s already admitted. He would have been a small child a schoolboy at the time. The phrase โ€œLiveโ€ didn’t even mean playing music live. What it meant was using real instruments as opposed to Electronic instruments. Every 1970โ€™s and 1980โ€™s Funkster knows that. This 1990โ€™s kid from Acid Jazz Records trying to re-write the History of British Soul history and that of millions of other Londoners doesn’t understand what the word live means!

When the Disco sound began to die and synth funk began to replace Jazz funk and Soul in the early 1980โ€™s, lots of session musicians both in the UK and The US found themselves out of work. Samplers were becoming available to the public and to music studios and they were far cheaper to use it instead of hiring session musicians. And in any case Synth/Electro Funk doesnโ€™t require an Orchestra. The sound was changing the strings of the disco era were being phased. Even the famous Salsoul Orchestra disbanded in 1981. Disco era Funk was dead. Musicians even formed a movement called Keep it Live, urging studios to hire โ€œLiveโ€ musicians. You would see โ€œkeep it liveโ€ stickers on cars windows and bumpers. Ask anyone who was around at the time. The writer wasn’t.

And as has already been stated  Jazz Rap, Jazz Soul and Jazz hip Hop were in existence both in the US and the UK long before acid jazz records appeared in 1988. Acid Jazz records have absolutely nothingto do with the evolution or the development of this style of Black music or indeed any style of Black music in the 1980โ€™s or even at any stage during the 1990โ€™s.

SO NOW ACID JAZZ RECORDS INVENTED JAZZ RAP AND JAZZ HIP HOP?!

The British Jazz movement as I said goes back to at least the early 1950โ€™s and so does British Soul. Here in London and many other inner city FUNK movements like Nottingham, Birmingham, and Liverpool we had a Sound systems like called Rapatack who rapped over tracks, The Reggae crowd used to Toast (Jamaican style rap) over reggae tracks at just about every house party you went to in the 70โ€™s and 80โ€™s where us youngsters were involved. This was part of London Culture and of inner city culture all around the UK. Itโ€™s well known to Hip hop historians that Kool Herc learned his trade in London.

โ€œToastingโ€ over Reggae and rapping over Jazzfunk tracks was happening all over the place. When Hip Hop became a worldwide phenomena around there were rap competitions at places like The Wag Club and in Tooley Street all the time. I watched some of them. It was hosted by some young unknown kid now a Hip Hop legend called Tim Westwood. So Jazz Rap or Jazz Hip Hop was NOT invented by acid Jazz records from 1988 onward. So no matter how many times they print this is acid jazz or the best of acid jazz on the covers of their CDโ€™s or albums acid jazz is a lie. Plain and simple. It was part of Black American and British culture.

Poets would rap over Jazz tracks and there is and was no such thing as a โ€œhip hopโ€ beat. They are all Funk beats and the vast bulk of them are sampled from the 50โ€™s and 60โ€™s. Many come from James Brown. American Jazzmen of all colors were โ€œTalkingโ€ or โ€œrappingโ€ over Jazz tracks in the 1940s. No record company in England invented any of these sounds in 1988. They make compilations of this type of music. The writer most likely read an article and misunderstood โ€œliveโ€ thinking that it to meant playing live. Jazz Funk uses โ€œliveโ€ (Real) Instruments. Electro-funk doesnโ€™t need live instruments. Its played by a synthesiser. Itโ€™s Synthesised hence the term Synth Funk or Synth Pop!

Heโ€™s trying to construct a story but doesn’t really know what heโ€™s talking about. He/they are trying to appropriate Black music but they donโ€™t know enough about the sound to do it they donโ€™t even have a basic understanding of the Groove. We know from experience that he uses Wikipedia to gather knowledge and reads articles to masquerade as a 70โ€™s Funkster as he did with vintage 73 on Jamirotalk.

He/they just hope that printing โ€œThis is acid jazzโ€ on as many Soul Mixes as they can is eventually going to fool enough kids of the next generation into believing the lie. And as for Live music if you wanted to hear Jazz played live there were many venues where you could listen to live jazz. Like Ronnie Scottโ€™s in London. Jazz and Jazz Funk acts from the States have been playing there for years. That was happening all through the 80โ€™s. I never went but my mates did. Ask any 1980โ€™s London Jazz enthusiast if he or she credits acid jazz records created in 1998 with the London Jazz scene thatโ€™s been in existence since the 1940โ€™s.

KEEP REPEATING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND PEOPLE WILL BELIEVE IT.

SO, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES THEY PRINT โ€œTHIS IS ACID JAZZโ€ OR โ€œTHE BEST OF ACID JAZZโ€ ON THE COVERS OF THEIR CD, OR ALBUMS, ACID JAZZ IS A LIE.

PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

AS YOU CAN SEE THIS PART OF THE PAGE IS FALSE JUST LIKE THE REST

โ€œAcid-jazz originated in the London club scene of the mid 80โ€™with DJโ€™s of the Rare Groove movementโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ BOLLOCKS!

SAYS WHO? WHEN, WHERE? I WAS THERE AND I’VE NEVER HEARD OF IT.

As you will see on Ten Easy Ways To Debunk The Acid Jazz Lie you will find no mention of any so called acid jazz movement or Music genre. It’s a complete work of fiction.

There was nothing called acid jazz that originated in the club scene in mid 1980โ€™s London. Acid jazz records was not even created until 1988. They are not responsible for the London Jazz scene. More total lies. Replacing the word Rare Groove with acid Jazz to try and make it look as if they are somehow responsible for the return of 1960โ€™s/1970โ€™s Funk in 80โ€™s London. Well actually to make it sound as if Rare Groove is a music genre called acid jazz. I was there and so were hundreds and thousands of others. The American/British writers of the FAKE NEWS ACID JAZZ PAGE were not. You would have cleared the dance floor of any club in the mid 1980โ€™s had you put on old fashion music like James Brown or Jazz funk or even Disco. Those sounds were dead and gone, never to return again. Where is the evidence for this acid jazz scene. If what he is referring to is Rare Groove then Rare Groove as I said started over half a decade before acid jazz records even existed!

And if what he is talking about is Rare Groove club nights then we had them in the very early 80โ€™s as well before the phrase Rare Groove was even coined. We used to call them nostalgia nights. The 1970โ€™s were our school days so on some of these club nights people would dress up in School uniform. They were old school nights. Hence the term โ€œOld Skoolโ€You would have the odd DJ doing a Northern Soul or jazz Latin nights in some pubs or clubs but in no way was it a major scene. I can tell that the writer wasnโ€™t there. Someoneโ€™s probably told him a little bit about 1980โ€™s London or someone who was too young to have gone night clubbing in the 80โ€™s is trying to piece things together from what someone has told him and heโ€™s using it to try and construct a story.

โ€œThese included Giles Peterson who had residencies at clubs in the 80โ€™sโ€ฆโ€

OH so the Godfather of SOUL had a residency did he, Well so did thousands of Soul DJโ€™s in London including most of the Pirate radio station Funksters as well as those on mainstream radio Capital Radio and Radio London! This statement of course makes it look as if Gilles Personage is some massive name in 1980’s London. He was not. And believe me when I tell you, you wonโ€™t find a single one of them who will credit Giles Peterson as being responsible for Rare Groove or for inventing a music genre called acid jazz!

In addition to the most famous London Soulhead DJโ€™s like Greg Edwards, Robbie Vincent, Chris Hill, Froggy. Tony Blackburn, Andy Peebles, Noman Jay, Graham Gold and co, There were hundreds of little underground SOUL venues littered around the Thames Valley and the Home counties all of whom had Soul DJโ€™s Spinning the Funk. It was difficult to hear the groove so we had to experience it where we could. The odd pub night here the odd Soul night there. Soul Clubs were not that many. There was Flicks with Colin Hudd and the crew, Sometimes there were Jazz and Soul Picnics at Knebworth Park, There was the Palace which I think was called the Pink Elephant, In Sussex they had the Sheffield Arms,

There was Gulliverโ€™s and Gossips in central London, there was the Pink toothbrush in Essex. In Kent there was King Arthurโ€™s Court where the now famous Pete Tong and Nicky Peck used to play, In Kent (Tunbridge Wells) you would have Ed Stewart from BBC radio 2, There was Jazz funk and Soul at the Yorkshire Grey with Barry-Le-Martin and Steve Devonne, from Invicta FM. ( Most of the pirate radio soul heads had residencies at various clubs), There was Marin Collins, Gary Lee, Trevor Roy, Tom Felton, Dave Brown also now world famous.

There was Peter Powell, There was Big Steve Walsh at Jazz Solos & The Belveder, in Richmond, Daddy Ernie in places like Ronnie Scotts and countless other clubs. There was Winston Hunt, Chris Redstone. I could fill a whole book with the thousands of Soul Djs who worked hard to supply us with Jazz funk in London. They were and still are my heroes and they are the heroes of all souboys and girls. They were the backbone of The Soulhead movement alongside Blues and Soul Magazine. Most of these guys are still around. Some are still playing. Ask them if they have ever heard of this acid jazz music genre invented by Giles Peterson. I think you realise what the answer will be by now.

If you ask them or any of my Soulhead contemporaries what acid jazz is they will invariably tell you, thatโ€™s what the kids call Jazz Funk, or they will tell you itโ€™s just Rare Groove, the stuff we grew up with in the 70โ€™s. No one will say to you thatโ€™s itโ€™s a musical genre invented by acid jazz records. Probably none of them, (now in their 50โ€™s and 60โ€™s) have realised that Rare Groove is now being claimed as a musical genre invented by Giles Peterson called acid jazz. They probably still think itโ€™s a marketing campaign. Well they will now.

โ€œAnother British Record Label was formed in 1990 call fourth and Broadway recordโ€

It gets worse. Now these outsiders from Jamiroquai/acid jazz records are trying to write out of history all of the small record labels of the 80โ€™s and make it look as if they began British Soul. So Red Bus Records, London Records, Beggars Banquet, Chrysalis Records and all the rest who supported FUNK back in the 70s and early 80’s in the U.K didn’t exist?

More proof, not that you need any more, that the writer wasnโ€™t there and doesnโ€™t know what heโ€™s talking about. Fourth and Broadway came Before acid jazz records,  And there were tons of independent record labels spreading the Funk long before they were. Ten, London records, Red Bus Records, Supreme Records, Tower bell records. There were loads of tiny independent record companies in London and the south east producing Soul and Soul music compilations. You only have to visit you tube to see the countless number of record labels that gave us all these Brit Funk classics. So again they are trying to make it look as if Acid Jazz records were some sort of Pioneers here in London. No they were not. In any way shape or form.

โ€œAnother British record label was formedโ€โ€ฆLOL LOL

So basically there were no other British record labels promoting the groove until acid jazz in 1988 and fourth and Broadway in1990โ€ฆ..except fourth and Broadway came before acid jazz records and so did tens if not hundreds of others British record labels promoting Soul. It would be nice to see what people like Morgan Khan makes of this claim. There were Old school 70โ€™s Funk compilations about way before acid jazz records came about in 1988. There were 70โ€™s disco and 70โ€™s jazz Funk compilations in every high street shop from HMV to the Woolworths all during the 80โ€™s.

Every one would have a bit of Disco or Motown at Xmas or Birthday parties. Sometimes People would buy compilations just to hear the one song they had been looking for, for years just to hear it again. There was no such thing as an internet to quickly find a song you longed to hear back then. Thereโ€™s hardly a 60โ€™s or 70โ€™s kid alive who didn’t buy a 70โ€™s Soul compilation in the 80โ€™s. So this fake news acid jazz page is now trying to pedal the idea that they came up with the concept of 70โ€™s Funk mixes and Compilations. They are trying to take credit for everything.

The 1970โ€™s didn’t just vanish until acid jazz records came along in 1988. So not only are they attempting to wipe the creators of Black American Soul and Black British Soul out of History by reclassifying the sound as acid jazz, they are also trying to deny the contribution of the tiny music labels of the 70โ€™s/80โ€™s who kept faith in Funk and took a lot of risks by printing records for such a small group of underground Soulheads. Without those record labels many of the Brit Funk classic would not exist. This small group of Brits and Americans are literally trying to take credit for just about everything that the London Soul Movement created in over 40 years. British Soul of the 70โ€™s and 80โ€™s owes these small independent record labels everything. We owe acid jazz records nothing.

SO AS YOU CAN SEE THIS PART OF THE PAGE IS TOTAL RUBBISH AND A RE-WRITING OF HISTORY

BEAUTIFUL This is really Beautiful. This is the best. Acid jazz have really outdone themselves on this one. This whole fake news acid jazz page is a complete pack of lies but this, I mean this is the most fraudulent and the most grosse misrepresentations of British Music history that I have ever read since my era ended in the early 1990โ€™s.So now having invented Jazz funk and Soul, Latin Soul, Brit Funk and all the other sounds of 20th century Black music, The new Godfather of Soul Giles Petersonโ€™s genre for which we still have yet to be told what it is and who plays it…….now breaks into the mainstream!

SO NOW ACID JAZZ RECORDS ARE TRYING TO WRITE THE WHOLE 1980โ€™S BRITISH SOUL INVASION OUT OF HISTORY AND REPLACE THEM WITH GILES PETERSON AND THE BRAND NEW HEAVIES.

**** TOTAL AND ABSOLUTE RUBBISH **

Other acts included the Stereo MCโ€™s and the James Taylor Quartet.

So at last we have someone playing this music genre invented by Gilles Peterson… Stereo MCโ€™s, The James Taylor Quartet. You see this is what I mean when I say they absolutely know nothing about Black Music or even Music in general. The Stereo MCโ€™s are not a Jazz Funk band. (You were told that on Jamirotalk Honeybee). And as for the James Taylor Quartet hereโ€™s a Quote;

โ€œAcid jazz is just a phrase, a name โ€“ it means nothing,โ€ he says. โ€œIt just gets more young people listening to it.โ€ โ€œItโ€™s a scam,โ€ whispers James Taylor as he passes between Quartet and bar. โ€œItโ€™s a way of selling records, itโ€™s a way of making money.โ€

James Taylor.

So there you go. And that my friends what Ive been saying all along is what any British Funkster in the know will tell you. If not that then they will say thatโ€™s just another name for Jazzfunk. They know this and thatโ€™s why they or the people who claim to represent them are prepared to go to extent of hunting people down in order the threaten them into silence. Life of Tau the Insider (probably Zacktastic or one of his crowd) and gatekeeper masquerading as an editor trying to keep this FAKE NEWS ACID JAZZ PAGE of lies up, Is of course aware of this quote. Has he done anything about it? Well no because heโ€™s part of it.

The Fake News acid jazz wiki page goes on to say;

Other bands included Incognito and U3 whoโ€™s cantaloop (Flip Fantasia) (1993) was the biggest hit in the genre. Also highly successful were Jamiroquai!

You cannot fool 1970’s/1980’s Funksters on their own sound.

Neither Funk Tribute Band Jamiroquai or Brit Funk era band Incognito play a Black music genre invented in this country called acid jazz. What makes any of you think that you can fool people on the various sounds of Black Music. Jamiroquai are not an acid jazz band. They are playing FUNK. Rare Groove and 1970’s/1980’s FUNK retreads. There is nothing on any Jamiroquai album called acid jazz as there is no such genre as I have shown on THE SOULHEAD TALES. We know what all these sounds are.

Incognito came from Light of the World. Light of the World are Brit Funk heroโ€™s. They are contemporaries of Delegation, Linx, Imagination, Central Line and Hi Tension in the late 70โ€™s and early 80โ€™s. They are not playing a music genre called Acid Jazz invented here in London in 1988 by Gilles Peterson or anyone else. They play Jazz Funk. Jazz Funk comes from the United States. It does not come out of this City in the late 1980’s.They then hilariously go on to claim that U3โ€™sโ€™ Cantaloop Flip Fantasia was the biggest hit of the genre. That is not the biggest hit of the genre because there is no such genre.

Cantaloupe is someone rapping over Cantaloop Island by Herbie Hancock

The intro is from the Back on the Block Album the comeback Album by Quincy Jones. I know both Herbie Hancock and Quincy Jones so I recognize both tracks. Just like I know all the stuff that Jamiroquai plagiarised. The writer of this fake news acid jazz page doesnโ€™t which is why he thinks he can pass off a track most Funksters know as belonging to a music genre invented in 1988 called acid jazz.

Acid jazz records joined the scene in 1987 at the time of the Pasedenas began the British tribute to The American Jazz Funk and Soul that we came of age with in the 1960โ€™s and 1970โ€™s. Thatโ€™s was it was called Tribute. They pay tribute to the American heroes of the our childhood It was done in the style of the 70โ€™s and they did doowop . This is post Motown sound which acid jazz are trying to take credit for as if they invented itโ€ฆ All musical styles referred to as acid jazz were already in existence. Fortunately there are millions of people still around who know this despite the lies written on this page.

At no time during the 1980โ€™s did any musical genre called acid jazz emerge from London England. At no time was there what the writer (who wasnโ€™t even wasnโ€™t part of our 1980โ€™s Soul movement or born in the 1970โ€™s) describes as an โ€œacid jazzโ€ scene anywhere in London in the 1980โ€™s. Nobody in London ever used the term acid Jazz in the 1980โ€™s or even In the early 90โ€ฒ to describe the Funk. The individual who wrote the page was not part of the London Jazz Funk Movement of either the 1970โ€™s or the 1980โ€™s If there was a distinctive British sound in the late 1980โ€™s the as I said it comes from the Passedenaโ€™s, Loose Ends , The Cool Notes, Soul To Soul Omar and so on. UK Soul/Pop band ABC appeared on US soul train with their tribute to the great Motown artist Smokey Robinson, (When Smokey sings), Phil Collins who worked with Earth Wind and Fireโ€™s Horn section and lead singer Philip Bailey did a cover of Motown classic canโ€™t Hurry Love, David Grant and Jaki Graham did a cover of could it be Iโ€™m falling in Love. The post Motown and early Jazz funk so pound was back in vogue in 1986/87. Acid Jazz records didnโ€™t start this sound and played absolutely no part in the creation of any British sound. Ask these acts if they took their inspiration from Motown and the early 70โ€™s or whether they attribute the British soul sound of the late 80โ€™s to acid jazz records.

They are trying to STEAL Black music through deception but they donโ€™t know enough about the sound to do it. And you cannot decieve people on Sounds. Especially when you don”y even have a clue what any of them are! Rapping over a Jazz track is called Jazz Hip Hop. Acid jazz records did not invent Jazz Hip Hop. Herbie Hancock is one of the geniuses who invented Jazz Funk in the early 1970โ€™s. But of course itโ€™s no longer 70โ€™s Jazz Funk, itโ€™s 1990โ€™s Acid Jazz. Invented by Giles Peterson in London. Because the record label says 100% Acid Jazz.

They then go onto Jamiroquai and refer to โ€˜theirโ€˜ hit Virtual insanity.

That track is Plagiarised from Samurai by Djavan Luz and Stevie Wonder. (See the Soulhead Tales). You see you cannot fool Funksters on their own sounds. But of course Stevie Wonderโ€™s sound is now also called acid jazz and โ€œwrittenโ€ by Jay Kay & Toby Smith. According to Acid Jazz records.

Yes another one! Now this entire FAKE NEWS acid Jazz page is pretty silly but without doubt on a page full of lies this is probably the most bizarre claim they have tried to make so far and that says a lot. So they have already cynically replaced the word Rare Groove with Acid Jazz in order to STEAL the sound of 70โ€™s Funk etc. and claim that itโ€™s a genre they invented. We did not have any โ€œacid jazzโ€ movement in the 1980โ€™s that spread to America thatโ€™s a lie you weren’t even there.

Now they make the ridiculous claim that they introduced their “genre” toโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆBlack America!!!โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ.Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! All I can say is outstanding !!!

โ€œAcid Jazz scenes developed,,,, It reached new York in 1990 When British Promoter Maurice Bernstein and his South African Partner Jonathan Rudnickโ€ฆ..โ€

ACID JAZZ SCENES DEVELOPED? WHAT THE HELL AS A SERPENT RECORD LABEL FROM HERE IN LONDON CREATED IN 1988 GOT TO DO WITH BLACK AMERICAN SOUL OF THE 1970’s “REACHING”…….. N.Y?

DO YOU THINK PEOPLE IN NEW YORK DIDN’T KNOW WHAT JAZZ FUNK WAS?

EVER HEARD OF TOM BROWNE? BERNARD WRIGHT? NEW YORK QEENS?JAMIROQUAI RIPPED THE OF ON LIGHT YEARS YOU SHOULD KNOW THEMARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS? NEW YORK WAS INTORFUCED TO JAZZ FUNK NY ACID JAZZ RECODS IN THE 1990’s……………..HAVE YOU GONE NUTS?

Black American Soul reached New Yorkโ€ฆโ€ฆ..From a London record label. What a load of absolute BS. Have you ever heard such a deceitful garbage in your lives. So these people want history to record that they are responsible for all the styles of Black music on say Jamiroquai records and that they introduced them to America! The trouble is as I keep saying, they think that they can fool people on these sounds because they don’t understand them or really know what any of them are. They have no real knowledge of THE FUNK at all. As Jay Kay himself has claimed ” We don’t use any outside influences” because He thinks people don’t know all the music he’s stolen.

Again can you see the thought and planning that has gone into this fake new acid jazz pack of lies. So having appropriated every single style of Black American Soul from about 1940โ€™s to the 1990 and having told you that the Retro 70โ€™s Jazz-Funk sound ripped from Roy Ayres, Herbie Hancock, Lonnie Linton Smith, Donald Byrd and The Mizzel Brothers is in fact a new music genre called acid jazz invented in England by Giles Peterson in 1988. And all without naming a single track that belongs to this non existent genre.(Because itโ€™s a lie and none exist). A British Promoter called Maurice Bernstein his partner kindly introduces their genre to Black America!

So Black American Soul scenes developed in Black America………………thanks toโ€ฆ.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,acid jazz records!

THEY WERE NOT ACID JAZZ SCENES, THEY WERE RARE GROOVE SCENES

ITโ€™S THEIR MUSIC, NOT THE MUSIC OF A LONDON RECORD LABEL.

The only Americans apart from those involved in the conspiracy like Life of Tau the American from the Midwest who has appointed himself as the gatekeeper of British Soul, in the 1990โ€™s who refereed to Jazz Funk as acid Jazz are those Americans who donโ€™t know their own music history. Find me An American who grew up in the 1960โ€™s and 1970โ€™s who thinks that Jazz Funk and Soul was invented in England by Giles Peterson in 1988! Find me an American who thinks the sound of Miles Davis, Roy Ayres, Donald Byrd, Herbie Hancock, Larry and Fonce Mizzel was invented by an English record label created in 1988, Or that they owe 1970โ€™s Jazzfunk fusion to an English DJ just because he printed the words acid jazz on the CD covers and compilations. Yet another one of the most preposterous misrepresentationโ€™s of history that I have ever read in my entire life. Itโ€™s their music. And more evidence of how desperate these people are to steal. Itโ€™s their music .

So Black American Rare Groove now called acid jazz invented by Giles Peterson and acid jazz records reaches Americaโ€ฆ

JAZZ FUNK AND SOUL Was introduced to Black Americans by Bernstein and Jonathan Rudnickโ€ฆ..

“Hey, If we print this is acid jazz on Soul mixes they wont know it’s Soul”

Do you seriously think that African Americans don’t recognise their own Music!

There were RARE GROOVE SCENES (Retro 70โ€™s Funk) scenes all over the United States in the 1980โ€™s as well as in the UK long before acid jazz record jumped on the bandwagon in 1988!

Itโ€™s their own music. It belongs to THEM, Do you seriously think that any American 1970’s Funkser won’t recognise all that plagiarised Stevie Wonder on Jamiroquiai albums and all the other stuff they stole? If London Funksters know these sounds do you not think that the people who actually created them do? Jeeeeze

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is travelling-without-moving-jamiroquais-plagiarism.jpg

I repeat again Itโ€™s their own Jazz Funk classics from the 70โ€™s, mixed with elements of their own Hip Hop Sound (Not invented by acid jazz in 1988).

It just so happens that in the mid to late 80โ€™s and early 90โ€™s our Funky youngsters in London we were more interested in their classic Jazz Funk 70โ€™s sound than most Americans kids who more seemed to into the emerging Neo Soul sound and Gangsta rap. Letโ€™s Remember many Americans during the mid 1980’s couldn’t stand the Electro-funk sound either. It wasn’t just us in the UK. The main reason for the return of the Washington Go Go Beat for example was because people wanted to hear real raw FUNK instead of Synthesised Funk. The Washington sound was a major part of the 80โ€™s because of it. There was a lot of dissatisfaction with the state of the FUNK. Prince came under heavy fire in the 80โ€™s for going the Rock Pop route.

Funksters all over the Planet, in Europe, Australia, Africa wanted a return to real FUNK. Even bands admitted they didn’t much care for the new sound but because the public were mostly into the electro sound they had to change accordingly. Kool Bell From Kool and the Gang said words to the effect of โ€œwe had to change in order to eatโ€. And every 80โ€™s Funkster remembers One Wayโ€™s plea to James Brown to return and bring back his sound. โ€œPlease MR Groove wonโ€™t you come backโ€ (One Way; Mr Groove 1984). The main reason British Soul bands were so successful was because they still retained a rough edge to their music and use live instruments. Of course this pack of lies makes it sound as if The Americans didn’t know about British Soul. As if Loose Ends or Billy Ocean, Five Star or Junior Giscombe or all the brilliant bands that comprised the Brit Funk invasion never existed Itโ€™s all down to Giles Peterson, Johnathin Rudnick and acid jazz records. Total and absolute rubbish.

The sound of British Funk had already reached New York and the rest of America in the previous decade of the 1980โ€™s thanks to Delegation, Junior Giscombe, Linx, Imagination, Hi Tension, Light of the World, I Level, Beggar and Co, Second Image, Jaki Graham, Total Contrast, David Grant, Incognito, Atmosfear, 52nd Street, Princess, Level 42, Central Line, Alton Edwards, Simply Red, Monie Love, Sade, The Antilles, Five Star, Well Red, Princess, The Cool Notes, Freeeze, Sahara, The UK Players, Intrigue, Phil Fearon and Galaxy, Paul Hardcastle, George Michael, David Joseph,  and countless other British soul bands. The list is endless.

Iโ€™ve already said that no British Funkster will acknowledge a genre called acid jazz and if we donโ€™t you can be certain that no American of our age group will. Have you ever read a more fraudulent piece of work in your Life? A complete work of fiction written by a person who has no business re-writing the history of London or Black music History. So there you have it. As far as they are concerned the job is complete. They have sat down and discussed how they can justify putting acid jazz on front covers of the CD they have achieved their goal. Now they have renamed it now they can appropriate it.

I mean whoโ€™s going to question our…. “groove based approach style characterized by dance able grooves and long repetitive compositions…..with the typical ensemble full rhythm section often with a drum set and additional percussion……. With some bloke singing or rapping on itโ€ฆ. That sounds Legit. That should fool the kids….

Well it might fool New millennials but it won’t fool any of us who know THE FUNK!

So, having “appropriated” Rare Groove and every style of 1970’s Jazz, Funk and Soul, Claimed that this “Acid Jazz” genre “reached America” thanks to A Funk Tribute Band (Jamiroquai), British Funk/Rare Groove band (The Brand New Heavies) and a Brit Funk era (Disco-post disco) Jazz Funk band (Incognito)….. This Imaginary genre magically disappears!

They claim this โ€œacid jazz” genre apparently invented her in London by Invicta F.M’s Gilles Peterson became so “mixed up” that it became indistinguishable! So now itโ€™s all mixed in with all the other black music sounds no one can distinguish it lol.

Oh how convenient. Just how stupid do they think people are?

You know the drill by nowโ€”Total rubbish, lies, lies and more lies.

Hilarious list of so-called acid jazz!โ€ฆโ€ฆ

The acid jazz time machine has been really overworked in this one. If youโ€™re a 70โ€™s Funkster and youโ€™ve had a wry smile on your face whilst reading this Fake News Wikipedia page watching these 90โ€™s kids trying to fool the Planet then your smile is about to get bigger when you see the music they are trying to claim is acid jazz! By now they think they have convinced you with all the gobbledygook that Jazz Funk was invented by acid jazz records in 1988. All this music appears on compilations with the words acid jazz printed on them so as far as they are concerned itโ€™s theirs. The African Americans didnโ€™t invent it. They did.

THE BLACK AMERICAN MUSIC ACID RECORDS ARE CLAIMING IS A GENRE INVENTED BY GILES PETERSON IN 1988.

So they claim that these are key acid jazz artists. These are the bands they are trying to hoodwink  into believing are playing a music genre called acid jazz. They are nothing of the sort. They are Soul/ R&B Bands playing a variety of 2oth Century Soul including the followingโ€ฆ

YOU KNOW THE DRILL- Classic 1950โ€™s and 1960โ€™s Black American Soul/R&B, 1950โ€™s and 1960โ€™s Blue Note Jazz Funk, Doo-wop ect and then Jazz, 1970โ€™s Jazz-funk, 1960โ€™s/1970โ€™s Jazz soul, 1980โ€™s Jazz hip-hop & Trip hop, 1980โ€™s Jack and โ€œNewโ€ Jack Swing, 1980โ€™s House, Techno, Washington Go Go, Orange County, Minneapolis sound (Prince, the Time, Jesse Johnson, Morris Day, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis) 1970โ€™s /1980โ€™s LA (Salsoul), 1970โ€™s Disco era Funk, The Sound of NY Queens, P-Funk, C-Funk, D-Funk, 1970โ€™s Cosmic Funk, 1970โ€™s/1980โ€™s, Punk Funk, Washington Go Go DC, 1960โ€™s/ 1970โ€™s and 1980/s Brit Funk, 1970โ€™s Sophista-Funk, 1970โ€™s /1980โ€™s Electrified Funk, 1970โ€™s and 1980โ€™s Electro, Freestyle and all the other sub genres of Black American Soul Latin and South American Bossa Nova, Salsa, Samba, Calypso and all the other sub genres of Latin American Soulโ€ฆ.

SO YES ITโ€™S 20TH CENTURY SOUL

acidliesbandlist-01Capture-7

They appear to think that the more band they add the better the chance they have of fooling people into thinking all these different styles of Black music were invented by acid jazz records in 1988. In spite of the fact that all these sounds were invented in some cases 30 years before they even existed. The British Soul invasion of the 1980โ€™s never happened. Everyone from Hi Tension, Olympic Runners, Hot Chocolate. The Average White Band to Light of the World, Loose Ends, Billy Ocean, Soul to Soul and the Pasedenas etc. never existed. Acid Jazz records invented British Soul in 1988.

I mean 99% of these people are still alive for goodness sake!

Now below they have basically grouped a whole load of Brit Funk, Jazz funk, Latin Soul, American Trip Hop, Jazz Hip Hop, and Rare groove bands together and are trying to claim they are playing a music genre called acid Jazz invented in London. They seem to be proceeding on a hit and miss basis adding and removing bands, looking for anything they can try and pass off as this acid genre but they donโ€™t know enough about the different sounds of Funk to do it! Jamirotalk members will recall how their insider on one of his several accounts tried to take on 70โ€™s Jazzfunkateer and got given a lesson in music history before he had to back out. It will take a 1970โ€™s Funkster and the musically educated about 10 seconds to see what I mean when I say they donโ€™t have the first clue about the groove. Apparently 1970โ€™s Latin bands like Azymuth and 1980โ€™s pop bands like Swing out out sister are now acid jazz bands! Could you imagine Greg Edwards, Robbie Vincent or Big Steve Walsh (Rip) spinning Swing out sister! I Mean they weren’t bad but you would not have heard them in any SOUL CLUB!

ACID JAZZ LIE LIST3

As you will have worked out already ( Probably from the start) these people  have absolutely no understanding of Black Music, musical history or any of the sounds they are trying to re-classify as an English Genre called acid Jazz. Some of them are quite funny.

They include bands like A Tribe called Quest. I would like to see where they give credit to a London record label created in 1988 for their sound. They even tried to include Steely Dan as an acid jazz band at one stage!  And how are acid jazz records  in London in 1988 responsible for the sound of Black South American music of the late 60โ€™s and 1970โ€™s?, Samba, Salsa, & Bossa Nova comes from London was invented in 1988 by Giles Peterson? Jazz hip hop was around in 1983. Both British and American. Its beggars belief.

Total codswallop!!!

acidliesbandlist-02

acid jazz is smoke and mirrors

Lets remind ourselves. The African Americans are no longer responsible for SOUL  James Brown and Stevie Wonder donโ€™t exist. Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock, Lonnie Liston Smith, Donald Byrd, Johnny Hammond, The Mizzel Brothers and the creators of 1970โ€™s Jazz Funk never existed. Acid Jazz records and Giles Peterson invented every last one of these sounds 20 years later in 1988 in London. Well It must be true because acid jazz records print 100% acid jazz on compilations contacting this type of music. That and you read it on Wikipedia. So now having appropriated all these sounds they now hope to cement their deceit again using the tried and tested smoke and mirrors. You can see their thought process

After all whoโ€™s going to be able to categorise all these bands into their distinctive styles of Funk, Well I can tell you for a fact that I can do just that with the greatest of ease but I donโ€™t have to. Because I know acid Jazz is a lie and by now so do you. Instead Iโ€™m going to turn it back on them and do what every invested being fears. Ask them to tell us what aspects of these variety of 20th century Soul bands is acid jazz?

This is why smoke and mirrors donโ€™t work in music. You are not going to fool 1970โ€™s Funksters on their own sound. Particularly when you donโ€™t know anything about Black Music to begin with. This has got to be the biggest attempted fraud in music history. acid jazz is the only musical โ€˜genreโ€™ in history for which no one can name a single song, band or track!

HOW DOES BLACK AMERICAN/LATIN SOUL SPREAD TO AMERICA? IT CAME FROM THE AMERICAS IN THE FIRST PLACE !!! Notice how they cleverly substitute the word Rare Groove with Acid jazz and then use that to claim ownership of all types of Black music from Doo wop to Neo Soul, Notice how they try to use nonsensical meaningless phrases like a โ€œgroove basedโ€ approach to try and confuse the issue (Smoke and mirrors) but never mention a single song or track that belongs to this โ€œacidโ€ jazz genre. They donโ€™t even understand the word โ€œliveโ€ Live didnโ€™t mean you had to play live music. Live meant using real instruments as opposed to the Synth! This person knows nothing about London or music history in the 80โ€™s, Heโ€™s read it in a book somewhere. That isn’t written by any 80โ€™s Londoner. Interestingly he calls himself wolf and gives his address as Oxford University.  Iโ€™m sure one of the Jamiroquai albums was made in a studio in Oxford somewhere. Where have I seen the phrase wolf.

Knowing the difference between jack and new jack swing, Freestyle and House, 70โ€™s house and 80โ€™s house, Euro disco, regular disco and disco era funk requires a great deal of knowledge. knowing the old Brit Funk sound, the 80โ€™s British sound and then the late 80โ€™s British Funk/Rare Groove sound for example can only be done by us. Yet here we have a โ€œconnectedโ€ American trying to kid us on British Soul. We’ve seen that somewhere else before. I will give them this much they’ve got some front. Why is the page still there? Probably because none of us have seen it. I mean No 70โ€™s/80โ€™s Funkster is going to run a search for acid jazz because they donโ€™t know what it is. I have seen these acid jazz compilations but just saw it as some sort of marketing campaign. It wasn’t until I studied the pack of lies on the page that I realized there was something far more ominous. We realised this is designed to hoodwink the next generation of kids into believing that Jazzfunk is British just like they did with the Beatles. Except this time there are people like us around
